Revlon Pink Lemonade Colorburst Lip Butter Review, Photos, Swatches

Revlon Pink Lemonade Colorburst Lip Butter ($7.49 for 0.09 oz.) is a pale, lightly warmed-up pink with a luminous sheen. MAC Dreaminess is more pigmented. MAC Angel is darker. Guerlain Beatrix is less pink. Guerlain Rose Desir is darker. Chanel Candide is pinker. Chanel Candeur is cooler. Chanel Magnolia is similar. Chanel Confidentielle is darker. Bobbi Brown Orchid Pink is cooler. See comparison swatches.

Pink Lemonade has semi-sheer color payoff that applied fairly evenly. It lightened my natural lip color but didn’t give it a heavy, pasty look as some pale shades can do. If a lot of beiges and pale pinks make you feel washed out, you may really like the sheerness and finish of this shade. It lasted a mere two hours, so you’ll need to be willing to reapply frequently. The consistency is slick, almost wet, and very balm-like, so it is easy to apply and slides right on (and this is likely why it tends to disappear more quickly than other lipsticks). It was lightly hydrating while worn.

I was thinking about getting MAC Angel — and I think I still might. Just because this lip butter seems to be a bit too sheer.

But I like how cheap it is!

Hi Christine! I just wanted to take a moment to thank you. Your dedication and thoroughness have been more helpful than I can tell you. You’ve opened my eyes to items I never knew I “needed” 😉 but also prevented me from buying things I would have been disappointed with. It’s easy to get sucked in at the makeup counter when the salesperson is saying how great something is, whether that’s true or not. It’s nice to read a little research before I go to pick something up. The result is a makeup stash I truly love and enjoy. I will be reading this blog as long as you are writing it. Which I hope will be a long time still.

p.s. Jealousy wakes is still one of my favorite eyeshadows.
It really is hard to find an emerald green

Please review the Juicy Papaya Colorbust Lip Butter as well! I’ve been hoping to see some comparison swatches before I decide whether or not to buy it or not!

Thanks Christine! 😀

This is so pretty on you, Christine! I have one of the darker Colorbursts, and while I think the formula is great, it’s sometimes just a little too heavy (visually) for me — Pink Lemonade looks like it would be perfect for the summer.

Thanks for putting it on my radar, lovely! 🙂

This was my least favorite of the new Lip Butter releases–I ended up giving this to my mom. But I usually don’t like wearing pale pinks on my lips (or cheeks) anyway. I loved the other shades though. Juicy Papaya was my favorite and even though Wild Watermelon and Sorbet were a bit too pigmented for my personal taste, I could appreciate how vibrant and smooth and pigmented they were!

I think I’m in the minority that does not like this lip butter at all- and this is coming from someone who’s bought 9 lip butters and has used 5 up! As someone with pigmented lips, I really can’t get any color to show up unless I layer the product over and over again, until it’s kind of a thick hot mess on my lips (and even then, the color sort of moves around if I move my lips together. It also doesn’t last that long either). While I do like the lip butter formula, I find that it’s a total waste of product to cake it on. Unfortunately, if I just use a few sheer layers, it gives my lips a really unflattering pale tint- almost ashy like (and I’m NC20!). Really disappointed with this one, and unfortunately I tossed my receipt for it. 🙁

OMG!!! This lippie is so pretty. I love Revlon lippies for they keep my lips hydrated. I have never seen this one and upon seeing it here, I wanna have one of these. I super love the color for I find it light and natural. A must have!!

It is such a pretty color <3 but it wouldn't look as good on me though as my lips are more pigmented and dry and i have bigger lip lines 🙁
