Rescue Beauty Lounge Stormy Nail Lacquer

Rescue Beauty Lounge Stormy Nail Lacquer ($18.00 for 0.40 fl. oz.) is described as “moody and mysterious dark gray.” It’s a dark, neutral gray; it looks a hint blue under really bright light but otherwise rather neutral on me (and typically, if there is blue, it becomes more obvious against my yellower skin tone). It’s not quite cement gray; perhaps more like wet or damp cement. Illamasqua DWS is similar but a little lighter. Zoya’s Dove is warmer and much lighter.

It has a cream finish, and I was able to get opaque color in two coats. The formulw as a cinch to work with, as it had a great balance of thick and thin to allow for good flow across the nail but still pack enough pigment into each coat. I didn’t have any issues with streakiness either. RBL normally wears a solid week on me with very minimal tip wear; it is one of the better wearing polishes on me (but I confess, most polishes wear a week on me without chipping).

I like their creams. But I have at least 3 dupes for this shade. Agree with Chris – I am into darker grays right now. This shade is good for pre spring for me.
