Rescue Beauty Lounge Nail Lacquer Review, Photos, Swatches (No More War, Diddy Mow, 360)

Rescue Beauty Lounge
Nail Lacquers: No More War, Diddy Mow, 360

Rescue Beauty Lounge: Hello!

Rescue Beauty Lounge Nail Lacquers ($18.00) are a big splash amongst nail polish fanatics, and I didn’t even realize that they’re the same brand that does all the soaps I have in my house! (I love that they have a hand soap with the word Pamplemousse in its name! One of my favorite French words ever–say it ten times and you better be giggling!)  Last week, I purchased several shades from the website to give ’em a spin for myself…

  • No More War is an olive green cream. You could say it’s camouflage green or army green as well. It’s rich and goes opaque in two coats for me.
  • Diddy Mow is a muted, gray-green cream with subtle silver micro-shimmer. The shimmer almost looks like grains of sand in the “water.” RBL describes it as “a putty green, the color of sand through sea water.” It was opaque in nearly one coat, though I swatched it with two.
  • 360 is a played-down bluish teal cream with subtle silver micro-shimmer. Opaque in two coats for me — it’s pretty pigmented in one, but I find I need two for a good, overall result.

This was my first time trying the brand’s polishes, and I really liked the formula. It’s rich, pigmented, and applies smoothly. There is no streaking, bubbling, or dragging. All three were nearly opaque in one coat, but I still preferred doing two coats for a completely opaque, smooth look. These colors seemed unique to me–perhaps its the subtleties of each one, where they’re not the typical shade and yet wearable.

I just wish they weren’t so pricey.  The quality is excellent, but $18 a pop is hard to swallow!

I have grown to become a huge RBL fan over the last 7 months or so. I think I’ve purchased over 20 of their polishes. And they are worth every penny. Great formula, long wearing, great customer service from Ji Baek herself and big-3-free to keep our minds at ease. I was scared of the price tag at first too but have since moved past it to understand & appreciate that RBL is a very small, boutique operation and Ji Baek is out there working her tush off to make these great colors for us to have, is hands-on for the formula/color quality control, and hand-packing your orders herself. I’m happy to give Ji my business.

Love the unique colors but you’re right- way too expensive for a nail polish. I’m pretty sure it would have to paint my nails itself for me to spend that much money on one haha.

I have and love all three; they’re my splurge items (and I’m a certified nail polish madwoman), and I love them above and beyond all other brands, even (dare I say it?) the Chanels.

I love RBL polishes. They apply like a dream. $18 is pricey, but worth every penny in my book. I can deal with that much better than $60 lipstick. I get a little queasy thinking about spending that much money on lipstick. 😉

hmmm, two of them remind me of mac’s dry martini and blue india.. though blue india is definitely more of a dark blue. I’ve always wanted to try out this brand, and then I saw the price tag! Yikes, too expensive for something I usually only wear once lol

I rarely spend more than $8 on a nail polish, but No More War has been tempting me for months… it’s time to just get it I think!! Great swatches, as always!

RBL is a bit pricey for me so I only own Scrangie and No More War. I must say, if I could only own one green nail polish for the rest of my life, it would be NMW. It’s not for everyone, but it totally works on me! And the application is fantastic.

I’m a little surprised you didn’t get Scrangie since you got No More War. No More War looks like seaweed, but I haven’t tried it yet.

RBL polishes are pricey, but worth the money. I have splurged many times for these polishes, and am glad I did. My favorite are always these.

Look out in December – that’s when she usually does her 50% off sale. It doesn’t usually last long.
