- Nearly Neutral Warm neutral beige
- Nearly Rose Soft tea rose pink
- Nearly Mauve Soft mauve
- Nearly Berry Rich berry
These look really lovely for the summer months – the soft, muted corals, pinks and berry shades. I think the blushes would be quite interesting in their cream like finish.
I didn’t think I’d be interested in this collection, but those water-resistant blushes caught my eye! Especially Nearly Apricot and Nearly Berry. They could come in handy during (hopefully we get one this year) monsoon season.
I am so interested (acccck…wait! I am on a Low-buy!)
Something about her marketing is very 20’s-ish…..sweet, but a tiny bit naughty. I like it.
Also, I love the colors and want to collect them all.
(Again. I am on a low buy. If I tell myself enough…..)
I wasn’t interested in this blatant celebrity cash-grab makeup line and this collection is boring enough to keep it that way.
as a brand who has created the Rare Impact Fund, with the help of raising awareness and money to support mental illness, and who is also donating 1% of it’s annual sales to this fund, i’m not sure this a ‘blatant celebrity cash-grab makeup line’.
food for thought maybe.
Thank you for pointing out the information about the Rare Impact Fund. 🙂
It will be interesting to see how the blushes review being water resistant for longevity and then in removal. I love the luminizer and lipstick I have from her collection so a blush would be a nice addition.
I love the packaging, especially the blush. It looks so plush and light.
I wonder if the monotone look is going to be more of a trend this year than it has been. I know MAC previouslycame out with the Powder Kiss version of this for the eyeshadows and liquid lips but not aware of others. I like the idea of soft washes of colour, of diffused brights for Spring.
Brownish balmy gloss? *perks up* You have my attention. I’ll also check out the ingredients on that blush to see if I can use it.
I sorta teared up when I saw that one of the swatch arms was a fat person’s arm. Holy cow! I don’t know if I have ever even seen a mainstream brand really do this. It is such a small thing, but it really does feel inclusive. I know a lot of people have misconceptions about fat acceptance advocacy, but it is something that I’m passionate about, and the fight for normalization and inclusion has been daunting, and it is still such an uphill battle. I’m glad that Selena or someone on her team made the decision to do this, because it is not an accident. The more we see fat arms, and fat people just being treated as people, the more we learn that fat people are just as normal as everyone else.
I am on a low-buy, but I think I could justify throwing a little money at Ms. Gomez as a thank-you.
I appreciate this as well. 🙂
Tight and cohesive. The simplicity reflects 2020 paredown (C-19 word, lol) and the matchy-matchy says 1950s. It’s an odd marriage, but it works quite well.
Interesting – same color for eyes, lips, and cheeks, but different products for each purpose. I love the idea of unified color looks, but I don’t love the idea of using the same product for each purpose, e.g. using a lipstick as blush. I’m also not super into multi-balms for the same reason. Hopefully each product serves its particular function well – I’m intrigued by the liquid eyeshadows. If a unified color story can come together with these products, I’d definitely look into picking some up!
I wish we could touch makeup at Sephora! The texture of those blushes looks divine.
Can the SAs sanitize, touch product, put it on your arm, and resanitize his/her hand? I wonder how companies will provide an experience during this time? My bank is closed for inside now. I sense a lot more m/u detritus being generated by inability to experience before you purchase.
I am sooo excited about this release too. I am a true fan of Rare Beauty and find their products to be super wearable and comfortable. I think I would love to try the lip and cheek product. ❤️
Those blushes interest me – especially the 2 cooler, “berry” shades. The lip glosses sound very nice but I imagine they’re not very different from any other glosses but the price is good and if they’re as “nourishing”, while being infused with all that colour, I might try one.
I like the Rare Beauty products I already have, but this is too monochromatic. If I wanted to wear the same color on my eyes, cheeks, and lips, I wouldn’t spend $59 (18+21+20) to do it. I’d buy one more reasonably-priced multipurpose stick for $10-$20. And there are plenty of companies now, including drugstore brands, who have good multipurpose creams and liquids.
I LOVE she named them consistently across the range. Meaning I would buy Nearly Rose in all three formulas, for a monochromatic look, and the prices are good, even in CND$.
I would love to hear how the glossy lip bomb performs in the shade Nearly Neutral, since I like tinted lip masks. I prefer a smaller applicator tip than Fenty Gloss bombs, so this might work for my lip shape.
Help, this collection looks like a direct attack on my wallet. I love that the tones will all work together if you want to cheat a bit sideways from a true monochromatic face.
Never had a liquid eyeshadow I really liked, but I’ve been really happy with the Rare formula on liquid blush, highlighter, and lipsticks, so… maybe the time has come?
I was waiting to see if anyone else brought this up, but sorry to say but I detest the name “Stay Vulnerable.” Too many negative connotations in my book. I just can’t get past it. What’s next, “Roll over and take it?”
She has a song on the album this makeup line is named after called “Vulnerable” and “I’ll stay vulnerable” is a lyric in it. I understand your point of view, but I thought I’d let you know.
While I’m a bit confused as to why Rare Beauty would add more blush products when they already have the liquid blush, I think this is such a beautiful expansion to the brand. I’m more drawn to the glossy lip balm than the other products here, and hope that I will like it as much as I like the lip soufflés.
Also, I wonder if Rare Beauty will name more lines/products after songs on the album it’s named after. I think a Look At Her Now highlighter or Souvenir palette would be nice, if done well!
I was happy to get a sample of the gloss balm in Nearly Neutral with a recent Sephora order. It’s a rare gloss that I’ve taken the effort to remove the stopper for to actually completely use up. I love how plush it feels on my lips, I love how moisturized my lips still feel even after the product wears off, and I love the subtle color it adds to my lips. I am definitely repurchasing one of these. I’m just debating whether to get the same Nearly Neutral or Nearly Mauve.
