If they’re liquid/cream, they seem to adhere better to the skin and can be a really fun look, assuming one enjoys glitter. For powder products, I prefer when they have more base color/tint with finer sparkle.

About the closest I come to wearing glitter highlighter is when I use my ABH x Nicole Guerriero cheek palette or CP Aura Voir Luster Dust. Only micro-glitter for me, obviously. Beyond that, they just look tacky and cheap to me. But that’s my own personal taste. Although, I must say, there have been a select *few* liquid highlighters that have micro-glitter in them that look pretty good!
I am so over glitter. I love soft shimmer but the big flake glittery look is so overdone!
I don’t use them at all so not fair to comment one way or another. I like shimmer but no glitter on my face or eyes for that matter.
Rants – all rants – I really don’t like glitter highlighters for myself at all. I think the glitter would end up all over my face and end up looking like a clown.
I just got a sample of the Cover FX glitter drops and they are beautiful! The gals on MakeupAlley suggested using as a brow bone highlighter and I tried that this weekend. Looked great, wore well. I will do it again. But then I happen to LOVE the Cover FX glow drops too. They apply so evenly and just look heavenly on my skin.
Easy answer for me…no to glitter…in anything. Highlighters, eyeshadow, just no. LOL.
Hard pass on glitter – I’m neither clubbing nor raving, so I see no need.
I love glitter on my eyes but not on my cheeks.Glitter highlighters look so pretty but when I catch myself in the mirror wearing them I don’t like the look. Especially hate to see at the end of the day sparkle all over my face. I really wanted to buy Kat Von D’s highlighter palette but knew I couldn’t handle the glitter, ditto for Fenty’s Trophy Wife highlighter.
No thanks, not my taste. I prefer any sheen on my cheeks to be as smooth as possible.
I prefer shimmery highlighters to glittery ones, though I don’t mind wearing one with fine glitter sometimes. I hate it when they have chunky glitter. I don’t think it looks good, and the chunky ones usually don’t adhere to the bases very well, and there’s too much fall out.
I love glittery highlighters when I am going out. Daytime I use only shimmery highlighters or shimmery blushes.
I prefer to wear glitter on my eyes if I’m going to be daring I wear it very few times i do like it but it always ends up falling under my eyes ending looking as if I’m turning into a mermaid. I don’t like chunky glitter on face not for me although I do love sparkles and shine but not the obvious pieces of glitter. Fenty does make some beautiful one it has like a wet look but natural it looks like a healthy glow I’m so going to get one! Beautiful!
