Editor's Review

Odette Nail Lacquer ($9.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as a "orchid maroon cream." It's a pinky-mauve with a warm undertone and cream finish. It was opaque after two coats, and the consistency wasn't too thick or too thin, so it was easy to work with. I don't have anything quite like this that I could recall from past reviews--I pulled two of the "closest" shades, but I wouldn't call them dupes at all. Cult Nails Love at First Sight (P, $12.00) is more lavender, less pink. Zoya Kieko (P, $8.00) is much darker, purpler. See comparison swatches.

As part of the new year I thought I would start doing nail polish posts to share some of my favourite brands and colours with you! The first one I want to share with you is one of my absolute favourites and it is the Zoya nail polish in the colour Odette. I love the name for this nail polish and I feel like it really does capture the colour. It reminds me of Odette from the movie The Swan Princess for some reason which really gives the colour a princess feel to it for me. On Zoya's website the colour is described as a full-coverage, sultry orchid maroon cream colour! It's in the colour family of nude and pink and it has a cream finish with a cool tone, it has an intensity of 5 which is full opacity. This is my go to nail polish when I just want to quickly put something on, it never fails to look amazing and it just seems to go with basically anything I own.
