Editor's Review

Oil Slick is described as a "black matte with silver micro-glitter." It's a medium-dark black with neutral-to-warm undertones and silver sparkle. The sparkle doesn't bind with the base, so little of it adheres to the lid without an adhesive base. The color payoff was weaker, while the texture was drier and crumbly. The color wore for seven hours before fading. ColourPop Friskie (P, $6.00) is more shimmery (95% similar). MAC Noite (LE, $17.00) is lighter (95% similar). Make Up For Ever D104 Black Diamond (DC, $21.00) is more shimmery (95% similar). MAC Cyber Goth (LE, $17.00) is lighter (90% similar). Buxom Black Lab (P, $18.00)(90% similar). Bobbi Brown Lava (LE, ) is less shimmery (90% similar). MAC Cinderfella (P, $21.00) is more shimmery (85% similar). MAC Blacklit (LE, $22.00) is lighter (85% similar). CoverGirl Molten Black (300) (P, $4.99) is brighter (85% similar). bareMinerals Penthouse (LE, ) is darker, less shimmery (85% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
