Faded is a subdued, medium-dark purple with flecks of gold sparkle over a matte finish. While a lot of the "matte" eyeshadows had "floating pearl" (Urban Decay's terminology), this one seemed to have larger sparkle. I found that the larger size seemed to make this even harder to apply, as the sparkles would pull away from the purple base but also pull some of the purple eyeshadow away, which resulted in sheer, uneven coverage. I had better luck using this over an eyeshadow primer, but it was still a fussy shade to blend out. It worked better layered over another eyeshadow. The color started to fade after seven hours on me.
