Editor's Review

Naughty Nude La Creme Lipstick ($21.00 for 0.11 oz.) is described as a "chestnut." It's a light-medium, peach with beige undertones and a luminous finish. It had nearly full color coverage (there's a bit of my lip freckle peeking through still). The consistency was creamy and easy-to-apply, though due to the lightness of the shade and the slight thickness of the formula, if you press your lips together, it can create lines or cause the product to push onto itself. Naughty Nude lasted four hours on me and was lightly hydrating during that time. It was actually really fitting that I ended up reviewing these two together, because they are very, very similar. In the Buff is the slightest bit warmer/more orange, but I was surprised to see them be nearly the same. To that end, this shade has the same similar shades. Urban Decay Naked 2 is more beige. Edward Bess Forbidden Flower is similar. NARS Isola Bella is more orange. MAC Posh Tone is darker. MAC Cozy Up is a touch lighter, more beige. See comparison swatches.

Foundation Shade: Baremineral's Original Loose Powder Foundation "Light" Shiseido's Perfect Smoothing Compact Foundation "B20" Scent: Lemon and Vanilla, smells like a lemon meringue pie. The scent is has a slightly more lemony, the dessert kind of lemony, scent than the vanilla scent. I apply it over chapstick, Burt Bee's Lip Balm. Regarding application, you can easily overdraw your lips since it glides on your lips so easily! I like the scent. It's not overbearing, and the scent fades as you wear the lipstick throughout the day. The lipstick is very moisturizing, and it fades very nicely. However, if you do have dead skin on your lips when you apply the lipstick, the lipstick will emphasize that it and causes the application to look patchy. Personal Opinion (doesn't affect Star Rating because it's about color) The color REALLY does not complement my skintone. It looks somehow makes my lips look a shade lighter than my actual skin o-o. I look so strange if I wear it alone. I did find a way to utilize this shade! I use it to tone down really dark red/berry lipstick shades to make the color not so prominent.
