The Stila Eyes are the Window palettes are probably the most used out of all my eyeshadows. I own Spirit and Mind and I use at least one of them every day. The colour story is great, with wearable neutrals as well as some more unique colours so I can create a huge variety of looks from just these palettes. In my opinion they are vastly underrated, these little palettes are fantastic and I find the formula a breeze to work with.

I agree. I actually received this in older packaging I think? The one that's a matte champagne gold with stila's name on it. It's not mirrored or arranged like the new packaging, but I LOVE this palette so much more than Spirit. It's so soft and smooth. The eyeshadows last on my oily skin without being too hard or applying patchily.

It's a rare day indeed when I disagree with Christine about a product but this is one of those rare times. I loved the original "In the..." Stila palettes and was sad not only that they were discontinued but that they were replaced with new palettes that were both far more pricey AND which seemed of really lousy quality. Because Stila is sold at Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada, I was able to purchase both of the new palettes I own using my "points", so that made these a bit safer to try. I am even more pleased with this palette than I am with Spirit (which was my first purchase). I find all the colours apply beautifully and deliver enough pigmentation for me, but then I tend to go for less intense looks most of the time. "Heart" is such a great subtle crease or blending shade. "Substance" is a beautiful silvery taupe - what more can I say? The only tricky one for me is Character, which has some chunky glitter but all the others in this palette are just great. My only concern is that all of these shadows (like many other Stila shadows) are prone to breaking, based on quite a few reviews I've read. I'd love to travel with this palette but I'm a bit leery if they are that fragile. I've kept some thin packing "foam" to cut to size for these palettes in hopes of protecting them and I might just give it a try the next time we're going away....

Hard to fill in the categories asked for here - "Colour", "Finish" and "Undertone" are all "varied" since this is a palette. Anyway, I was quite nervous about purchasing this palette as I know the Soul palette got a pretty poor review here and I set great store by Christine's reviews. But I'm glad I chanced it and bought Spirit as it is a great palette and I've found every shadow in it works really well. I was planning on buying 2 of the shades already in the palette (Wheat and Golightly) so it seemed to make more sense to get this palette and have 12 shadows for only a bit more than the 2 full sized individual ones. And it goes without saying that 12 smaller shadows in a palette is just plain practical for every day use and especially for travel. My only "kvetch" - ENOUGH ALREADY with Kitten in EVERY single palette, it seems. Most of us who use Stila shadows already have at least one (and often more than one) iteration of Kitten somewhere. I was actually contemplating buying the Soul palette despite its poor-ish rating because there were 2 or 3 shades in it that I absolutely love and what really prevented me was that there was another KITTEN eyeshadow in that one too!
