Phytosurgence Simmer Skin Spark Blush Balm ($17.07 for 0.14 oz.) is a brighter, medium pink-coral with soft, warm undertones and a natural finish. It was intensely pigmented where a little went a very long way, so I liked to use a fingertip to pat once on the surface of the product, then apply to my cheeks. If I was uncertain about how much I picked up, I'd pat once against the back of my hand to get rid of some product.

The texture was smooth, lightweight, and creamy with moderate glide, which I found helped the cream blush apply well to bare skin and on top of foundation (as it didn't lift up complexion products). It applied evenly and diffused with little effort along the edges whether I used a brush or fingertips, though I preferred the latter myself (true with most cream/liquid formulas). The formula dries down for the most part, though not transfer-proof, it had a soft glow rather than a dewy finish and was harder to blend out once it dried down (about a minute). It stayed on well for eight hours before showing signs of fading.

Skin Spark is our vision of bringing skincare and make up together. An essential oil and fragrance free blend of waxes, butters, and oils mixed with minerals and pigments, this line of blush balms is something special. The skincare base provides soothing emollience to the skin while keeping moisture and hydration locked in, while also delivering high impact pigment that can be sheered out beautifully on the skin. These blush balms can be applied onto bare skin or on top of other base make up. The finish can be described as softly radiant - glowy but definitely not oily. Long lasting given that there is not a lot of contact being made with the face throughout the day.
