This is the palette that started my obsession/love affair with Pat McGrath shadows. I was walking out of Sephora when the packaging caught my eye. That was back when I didn't believe that any eyeshadow palette could be worth the higher price tags. For the hell of it, I swatched the palette and instantly fell in love. I immediately turned around and purchased it right away. After my first two days of using it I got onto the Pat McGrath website and purchased the other two MTHRSHP palettes and was lucky enough to snag the bundle of the (then) 4 Mothership palettes. I have bought every other palette that she has released and don't regret anything. Highly recommend, especially this one and the La Vie En Rose.

I had always wanted to own a Pat Mcgrath palette but the high cost scared me away. When she released this cheaper palette, along with two other sister palettes, I decided that this was my chance to try her formula at a price that didn't hurt my wallet. This palette is a dream. This is what I wish all eyeshadows were like. The packaging is super lux and beautiful, almost like a piece of art on its own, (though I wish it opened up a bit more, but that's personal taste), and the shadows themselves apply and blend easily with no fallout. The colors themselves aren't all that unique, you may think that you have all these, but there is just something... special about them. They go on opaque in a single brush stroke. I did not have to dip back in for more nor use a dampened brush. It is -hands down- my favorite palette I own. I hope to one day own some of her larger palettes.

I was excited as can be to see this available in-store for purchase since every other PMcG palette is "online only" where I live. So purchase it I did! The texture and pigmentation of these shadows are everything I'd heard about eyeshadows from this brand. Packaging is clever too - cardboard but substantial feeling and nicely designed. My only complaint is the lack of an ivory or beige shadow (satin or sheen or even matte) that works as a highlighter and inner corner colour. That would make this a perfect palette for me. However, the shadows in this are gorgeous and the colours very well co-ordinated. Zero fallout, which is a bonus in shadows with this much sheen.
