NARS Quirimba Matte Bronzing Powder ($38.00 for 0.28 oz.) is a medium-dark, reddish-brown with neutral-to-warm undertones and a matte finish. It was a totally flat, matte finish, so it seemed to darken a bit when applied over bare skin (you'll want to apply it over matte or set skin).
I've noticed that mattes that darken are often a little drier and more difficult to blend out. I had the best luck applying with a fluffier, more fan-like brush to get better initial dispersion of product as denser brushes placed product too heavily in one place but then the formula wasn't blendable enough to spread out enough for a seamless blend. It had nearly opaque color coverage in a single layer, which built up to full coverage with less than a second layer if desired. It stayed on well for eight and a half hours before fading noticeably.
