Make Up For Ever M842 Wine Artist Shadow ($21.00 for 0.08 oz.) is a medium, muted berry with a matte finish. It had semi-opaque color payoff with a silky, finely-milled texture that was slightly powdery. Of all of Make Up For Ever's finishes, the mattes feel the most like your traditional powder eyeshadow and the most like their original formula (but I think their mattes are smoother and silkier). Wine has some trouble adhering to bare skin, though plenty of pigment lifts off the surface--it just doesn't stick. On me, it wears seven and a half hours before looking slightly faded. Sleek MakeUP Valley of Diamonds (LE, $9.99) is darker. Sleek MakeUP Honeymoon in Hollywood (LE, $9.99) is darker. Wet 'n' Wild I’m Seeing Triples Eyelid (LE, $2.29) is lighter. Disney by Sephora Sha La La (LE) is brighter. MAC Dynamic Duo 1 #2 (LE, $15.00) is darker. See comparison swatches
