MAC Next to Skin Blush ($20.00 for 0.21 oz.) is described as a "soft beige [with a Matte finish]." It's a light-medium, gray-ish beige with a matte finish and neutral undertones. It had good color payoff with a soft, blendable texture that could be blended out for a sheerer application or applied more intensely for true-to-pan color. I think this works really well as a contour shade on fair to light-medium complexions. When applied heavily, it was still visible as a shadowy contour on my skin tone (NC25/NC30). It's a lot more foolproof for fairer skin tones who want a subtle contour. On me, the color wore well for eight hours before fading. I couldn't think of any dupes for this shade.

I use this as a contour shade. It looks perfectly natural because it is so subtle and blends so well! I love it and plan to buy an extra. However, this is clearly only a contour shade for fair skin. It actually appears lighter than my skin tone when swatched on my wrist, but somehow turns into a perfect soft shadow color on my face. Makeup magic.
