The formula is supposed to be a "medium to high pigment gloss" (depending on the shade; most are "medium" pigment) that leaves lips feeling "soft as silk" and hydrated. The consistency was more like a creamier gel, so it was comfortable, spreadable, and felt cushiony on my lips without being tacky or heavy. The coverage varied from shade to shade but ranged from medium to opaque but tended to be in line with how each shade was intended to be.
The glosses applied fairly evenly with minimal settling into my lip lines--the kind that is visible in the close-up photo but not in person.
