Lethal Cosmetics Dark Matter is a moderately warm-toned, dark duochrome with a pearl finish. It is a permanent eyeshadow that retails for $16.50 and contains 0.056 oz.

Editor's Review

Lethal Cosmetics Dark Matter Pressed Multichrome Shadow ($16.50 for 0.056 oz.) is a black-based multichrome that shifted from charcoal black to burnt orange to red to plum. There was also supposed to be teal in the shift range, but I wasn't able to spot it in person.

The texture was firmer, thinner, and oddly powdery, which resulted in a more satin-like finish that did not apply as evenly as desired. It had medium to semi-opaque, somewhat buildable pigmentation. It lasted for seven hours before fading a bit.

A very interesting eyeshadow in theory due to its depth, sheer quality and multichromatic effect. Unfortunately it fell flat for me, it keeps building a hard pan after only touching it a couple of times, and I can't really get it to build. On the lid it doesn't perform well for me. Even over a dark base, you don't see much of the multichrome effect. I only get a muddy wash of color that doesn't look much like anything. Applying it wet has worked best for me, but in all honesty, there's eyeshadows from other brands that just give me more without behind a pain in the *behind* to work with. Lethal has a wonderful team and customer support, though, and they gave me a full refund for Dark Matter. Perhaps I just got a bad product and it works better for other people.
