Laura Mercier Plum Noire Rouge Essentiel Silky Crème Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a deep, reddened purple with subtle, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had semi-opaque color payoff paired with a moderately emollient consistency that had more glide and more creaminess compared to most shades in the range.
Unfortunately, that showed in the application as the color did not apply as evenly as it needed to, did not adhere well to the inner area of my lips, and had visible streakiness and settling into my lip lines. It lasted for five hours, left a stain behind, and felt lightly moisturizing, at least.
