The formula is supposed to be "long-lasting," "richly-pigmented," and "hydrating" with "one-stroke application." The lipstick is denser with more tackiness, so it did seem to pull/drag on my lips during application a bit, though it delivered semi-opaque to opaque coverage that adhered evenly and was longer-wearing over time.
I'd recommend using shorter, more overlapping strokes to apply the color rather than a more continuous stroke, as this was comfortable and delivered full coverage and a smooth laydown of color overall. Surprisingly, the texture felt more like a traditional lipstick, the kind with more slip and creaminess, once on my lips, but it had better adhesion, which kept it in place better and prevented it from accumulating in my lip lines.
