The Pure Pigment formula is supposed to have a "high-gleam glaze" and allow you to "customize the intensity of the coverage." For those who enjoy using loose eyeshadows, I suspect the formula will be comfortable to use--it is best applied using fingertips, dampened brushes, or over a lightly tacky base to improve hold and help the loose pigment bind together, though it can definitely be used dry/loose through patting and pressing motions. The coverage was buildable as described--it could be sheer or opaque depending on how much was applied and how. In general, I find using a dampened brush to be the most effective and easiest way to use loose pigments like these, as the dampness helps to bring the powder together and help it adhere more smoothly to the lid.
