Illamasqua Creator Nail Varnish ($14.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as a "magical black." It's safe to say that's a very apt description; it's a gorgeous deep, dark black cream with large silver sparkles--that seem to be in an almost rectangular shape. NARS Night Breed is very nearly the same--I really can't tell the difference. China Glaze Tinsel town has a lot more silver sparkle/glitter, so it looks more like a silver glitter with a black base than black with silver shimmer/sparkle.

I have been hesitant to spend this kind of cash on nail polish, but this has won me over. I put it on Tuesday (with Zoya's Anchor and Armor) and it is now Sunday and I have no chips and no tip wear to speak of either - it still looks freshly applied. Zoya polish usually has noticeable tip wear on me by this point, and other polishes rarely last past 3 days without chipping, so I'm seriously impressed, especially since it's black. It's a pretty black with evenly distrubuted silver sparkles, and mine had a few random holographic sparkles in it too, it seemed. Love this!

It is a beautiful black shade, the silver sparkle looks wonderful under the light. It applies evenly and smoothly, without any streaks. You only need two coats for full coverage. It has a glossy finish and lasts a lot on me, about a week without chipping. I love the formula and the color so I totally recommend it if you are looking for a "special" nail varnish.
