Octave is a muted, darker orange with warmer undertones and a matte finish. It had a slightly firmer consistency that made it easier to build up, but it wasn't as pigmented as other shades by the brand (which some may prefer). I didn't have any issues blending out the eyeshadow, thankfully. It stayed on well for eight hours before fading visibly.
