Defiant is a deeper black with subtle, cool undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had very fine, multi-colored shimmer throughout more of a matte finish, but some of the shimmer did translate when applied to bare skin. The eyeshadow was richly pigmented with a smooth, soft, and blendable texture that wasn't too powdery nor too firmly pressed into the pan. It stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading visibly.
