I love almost everything I've ever purchased from Clarins - skin care, body care, fragrances and makeup. This cream to powder-y shadow is no exception. The texture is somewhere between Chanel's Illusion d'ombre and L'Oreal's Infallible shadows, which is to say it's more like a moist, compacted powder than it is a cream. Silver Plum applies beautifully with a finger or a brush. You pretty much can't go wrong. I do wear a primer with these simply because I wear eyeshadow primer with everything...it's just habit and "insurance" though many say these last even on oily lids without primer and they last all day. Silver Plum is a great "shade shifter" type colour - depending on what you pair it with, it will look more dark taupe, medium brown or plum. The sheen is subdued and refined, rather than full on glittery so it's very wearable for all ages.
