Chanel Blazing Gold Ombre Essentielle ($28.50 for 0.07 oz.) is a yellow gold with chunky gold sparkle. Unlike Beige Lame, this one was disappointing. The powder was soft but gritty--the larger sparkle didn't seem to adhere and meld with the base color but separated from it. It resulted in poorer color payoff; it was sheer and uneven, and boy, it was a pain in the behind to apply. There was fall out all over the place! Â There are many golds that compare well to this one, and often, they are better in texture and overall quality. You might consider Bare Escentuals Aspire, MAC Goldmine, or Make Up For Ever #10.
