Chanel Vibrato is a very cool-toned, dark blue with a cream finish. It is a limited edition nail lacquer that retails for $28.00 and contains 0.4 oz.
Chanel Vibrato Le Vernis Nail Colour ($27.00 for 0.40 fl. oz.) is a brightened cobalt blue with a cream consistency and more of a satin-like dry down. If this had dried down to a really glossy finish, I think the thinner consistency wouldn't have been as noticeable. The formula runs thin, so it shows all the lines on my nails and really makes a base coat/ridge-filling base coat necessary for my nails (or perhaps a third coat, since this was only semi-opaque after two coats!). It lasted for seven days with minor tip wear. Illamasqua Force (P, $17.00) is darker, more pigmented, better quality (95% similar). Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Pond (P, $10.00) is lighter, more muted, more pigmented (90% similar). Butter London Blagger (P, $15.00) is darker, warmer (90% similar). MAC Breezy Blue (LE, $16.00) is darker, more muted (85% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
