Bite Beauty #022 The Lip Pencil ($18.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a medium-dark plum with strong, warm undertones and a pearly finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that went on fairly evenly, though I had to press my lips together and rub them gently together in order to even out the color as I could not get even application with the pencil only. The texture felt thinner and clung more to my lips than the shimmer-free shades, though. The lip pencil lasted for five and a half hours but was somewhat drying. Bite Beauty recommends wearing this particular shade with Pepper, Honeycomb, or Verbena; I think it would work well with Chai (less shimmery), Verbena (brighter, less shimmery), Sweet Cream (brighter, less shimmery), Pepper (cooler, less shimmery), or Rhubarb (darker, cooler, less shimmery) -- see comparison swatches.

With high precision texture that defines the lip line, The Lip Pencil provides perfect, allover, opaque lip coverage. Bite Beauty’s lightest formula yet, it offers addictively creamy coverage that’s so lightweight it feels like nothing on your lips. The case is an artisanal wood barrel that encapsulates whipped shea butter and three times the amount of pigments for a perfectly defined line.
