High-beam may seem like a favorite for many as a highlighter. but i think its pearly white iridescence is flattering only for skin with pink undertones. I'm a light medium at NC25 and High Beam looked very ashy on my yellow under toned Chinese skin, especially when I put it near my eyes or brows. A peachier iridescence (Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal from Becca) is much more flattering. If HighBeam is a must-try product, I recommend purchasing its mini-size as a little goes a long way!

I really dislike High Beam, and thus, I feel very much in a minority! I don't like how it applies - I find it sets too quickly, and I have no time to blend out the edges. It also can smudge my underlying makeup, and I find it "sits" on the skin and looks very obvious - perhaps due to the pinkness in the product. It's also too subtle and too obvious at the same time - too subtle because you can't see it unless the light is right, and too obvious because when you CAN see it, it looks stark and frosty. I want to love it, but I just can't!
