Wild Oak

Phytosurgence Wild Oak Flash Florescence Cream Shadow ($17.07 for 0.14 oz.) is a rich, golden bronze with strong, warm undertones and a pearly sheen. It was one of the more high-shine shades in the range, but it wasn’t metallic. It looked very “melted” when applied and blended out on my skin.

The texture was lightweight, creamy enough to feel like a cream eyeshadow, but it was thin and more powder-like as I worked with it on my skin. The product dried down to a more transfer-resistant, powder-like finish within 15 to 20 seconds. It had opaque coverage that wore well for eight and a half hours before creasing faintly.

Formula Overview

$17.07/0.14 oz. - $121.93 Per Ounce

The formula is supposed to dry down to a "budgetproof finish" that can be applied with "fingers or a brush" that can be used as an "accent colour" or "one and done" whether that's at full coverage or diffused for a "wash of colour."

They are pigmented in a single layer using a fingertip, but they can be built up with a fluffy brush or sheered out with fingertips or a fluffy brush for a sheerer wash of product if desired. The texture was a drier cream initially--very thin, lightweight, and had some emollience but didn't feel wet to the touch. It had about 15 to 30 seconds of working time and then dried down to a powder-like finish that was transfer-resistant.

I found the formula easy to work with as the colors went on evenly, blended out nicely along the edges, and didn't settle into fine lines/creases as they dried down. They wore eight to nine hours on me before creasing faintly.

Velvet Leaf

Phytosurgence Velvet Leaf Flash Florescence Cream Shadow ($17.07 for 0.14 oz.) is a medium-dark olive green with warmer, brown undertones and slightly coller, more forest green pearl throughout. It had opaque pigmentation in a single layer when applied with a fingertip or a denser brush.

The texture was lightweight, thin, and just lightly creamy–not really wet to the touch–which helped it spread easily over my lid, blend out well, but it didn’t slide around. It dried down quickly to a more powder-like, transfer-resistant finish that lasted well for eight and a half hours on me.

Deeply Rooted

Phytosurgence Deeply Rooted Flash Florescence Cream Shadow ($17.07 for 0.14 oz.) has a warm-toned, reddish-plum base with very fine, bluish-teal shift and a satin sheen. It had mostly opaque, buildable color coverage when applied with a fingertip, while the lightly emollient formula allowed me to diffuse for a sheerer wash of product if desired.

The product had a smooth, very thin, and lightweight feel when applied to my lid, which dried down to a powder-like finish in within 20 seconds. It was blendable throughout the working time, but once it dried down, it was more transfer-resistant so you’ll want to work one eye at a time. It showed signs of fading and a touch of creasing after eight hours of wear.
