Pat McGrath Dreamscape & Lavendaring OpuLUST Lip Glosses Reviews & Swatches
Dreamscape
Pat McGrath Dreamscape OpuLUST Lip Gloss ($30.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a deeper gold with warm, orange undertones and flecks of gold, copper, and pink sparkle and shimmer throughout. When I swatched it on my arm, it seemed more opaque, but when I applied it to my lips, it sheered out considerably (despite using the same amount of product consistently across the other seven shades, which did not sheer out like this one did).
The texture was incredibly smooth, almost like a cream-gel combination, as it was plush but spreadable, not too heavy but thick enough so I didn’t feel any of the shimmer/sparkle texture come through. The shimmer and sparkle distributed evenly across my lips, and the gloss itself was quite comfortable and flattering to my natural lip texture. It lasted well for four hours and was moisturizing over time.

Formula Overview
$30.00/0.15 oz. - $200.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to "seamlessly glide" onto lips with "multidimensional sparkle with a smooth, non-sticky finish" that has a "shimmering, move-resistant glasslike finish" and "otherworldly opacity." The pigmentation varied from semi-sheer to mostly opaque depending on the shade, and "otherworldly opacity" combined with the brand's promotional images and swatches all points in the direction of "pigmented'," and I think there are at least a couple of shades that were designed as sheerer on purpose but lack any description suggesting they were different than other shades in the range.
The texture was smooth, mostly non-sticky, and comfortable to wear with a plush, cream-gel feel, so it was more substantial but not heavy to wear at all. Each shade packed a very high-shine, ultra-metallic look that never felt gritty or textured from all of the included sparkle/shimmer. I had very light to subtle settling into my lip lines with a few shades, though not enough to be noticeable in person. They wore between four and five hours on average, and the formula was hydrating to wear. I didn't find that there was much in the way of shimmer/sparkle migration over time (beyond my lips). The formula had a sweet, creme brulee scent to me but no discernible taste.

Lavendaring
Pat McGrath Lavendaring OpuLUST Lip Gloss ($30.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a muted, silvery lavender with subtle, cool undertones and flecks of lavender, pink, and gold shimmer and sparkle paired with a high-shine, glossy finish. It had semi-opaque color coverage in a single layer, which applied evenly and smoothly over my lips with good spreadability.
The texture was lightweight, creamy and plusher without being tacky, so it was easy to work with and felt comfortable tow ear. It stayed on nicely for four and a half hours and was hydrating while worn.

I love Dreamscape for the very reason it probably only received a B; it’s sheering out. Love shades like this one to use as toppers over more nude lipsticks for a beautiful finishing touch!
Lavendaring is gorgeous, too. But might be a difficult one for me to pull off. I wish it were a bit more translucent.
I just received my Lavendaring and it doesn’t look good on my complexion and I’m so sad it doesn’t. It doesn’t look sheer on my lips. It looks like I have a sparky lipstick on. I have a light complexion with green eyes so I thought this would be beautiful. If it were more sheer it would look great on me. I think those with a darker/warmer complexion will love it. It looks good on Temptalia ❤️
Update: I tried this shade again and this time instead of using a swiping motion with the doe foot I dotted very lightly and sheered our better for me. Happy to say I love this shade now. It just needs a light hand when applying ?
Lavendaring is beautiful.
Do these have the same scent as the original lipglosses? Lavendaring looks lovely, but I don’t use my aliengelic because of the scent.
I think it does, but my nose isn’t very good.
I bought Lavendaring!! ?? It’s so beautiful. Glad it reviewed well!
Ooooohhhhh ? Lavendaring.. my PMG Opulust order still has not shipped. I grabbed this and the SkinShow trio.
I think Dreamscape is a gorgeous shade, but personally I would use it on top of a lipstick to give it that extra oomph effect.
Thank you for reviewing lavendaring!!! Hve been keeping my eye on it since before the launch but wanted to see your review before I bought it to see if it was worth it!!! I’m buying it now!!! It’s beautiful and the fact that it only has two dupes that I don’t own is a plus!!! So excited for this!!! It’s gorgeous!
I love Lavendaring so much! I love the silvery gray aspect to the lavender. It’s going on my “to get” list for next payday.
Although I don’t need more lip products of any king, I find both lovely.
Are these permanent? Because of Pat McGrath’s IG she indicated they were limited edition and on Sephora.ca they are also listed as LE.
PMG PR told me they were permanent. I asked “are the new glosses permanent?” and they said “yes.”
Lavendaring!?
