Wonder how many people who’ve been saying liquid matte lipsticks are over are going to mysteriously change their tune now lol. I’m curious about her formula, I’ll probably try and snag one of them. Depending on swatches of the Divine Rose bullet lipstick I may also try to grab it. As much as I do like the look of the Divine Rose II palette I have my heart set on Bronze Seduction for my next purchase…some day.

Mariella Avatar

That palette is $170 in Canada so if I’m spending that much (not ever likely that I would), it has to be for something outstanding where I’ll use and love almost every shade in it. I think there are 3 or maybe 4 shadows in this palette that I’d use if I had it and felt I had to use them to justify buying it but it’s just not a palette that would ever be a wish purchase for me.

Umayama Avatar

PML’s brand has lost its lustre, with its frequent resurrection of “Limited Edition” items (oh hello Decadence is that you again) and site-wide 20-25% discounts.

I do love her stuff, but by now there’s no FOMO because I can always wait and get it on sale in a few months. (That’s a good thing!)

Kate Avatar

Well, I already own Divine Roses I and II and Rose Decadence (as well as La Vie en Rose), so Eternal Eden is kind of tempting just because I’ve loved everything pink-toned she’s done so far. I still haven’t bought one of her highlighters, though, so I might opt for that instead.

Pearl Avatar

Same. There was a time when that quad, lipstick and highlighter would have been a given for me but I like my highlighters much more matte and barely a glimmer these days. Still undecided about the quad and lipstick.

DonnaL Avatar

So underwhelmed by this collection. I have Divine Rose I and II so I definitely don’t need the quad. I feel like almost every collection from her lately is the same. I’m over the pink and mauve eyeshadows.

Laura Avatar

I’m definitely grabbing the quad, as I have all previous releases in the black packaging (quads and palettes).

While I’m not a fan of matte liquid lips, I am interested to try her take. I found myself purchasing them again starting this past summer simply because of our current reality. My lip options when I leave the house are lip balm or matte liquid lip due to masking. While liquid lips aren’t my thing, I’ll gladly take the moisture hit to do the responsible thing. Period. And that’s why I think liquid lips have had a resurgence- its all about the inability to wear cream lipsticks and a mask at the same time without smearing the lipstick.

Latika Avatar

I have the divine rose palette 2 and I absolutely LOVE it.. I don’t’ need any of the other items..I am really trying to not buy as much make up… I purged over the holidays maybe I will consider the highlighter

Brenda Avatar

I collect Pat and love her formula. I will definitely pick up the quad. If the highlighter swatches lighter than the last one I’ll pick it up and I want to try Pats liquid lipstick formula. I’m ready for her to venture into a new color story and to create blushes.

Donna Avatar

The quad looks.pretty. But I own DR I and II, En Vie Rose and Decadence. The latter I was determined not to buy but caved after seeing swatches and I do.look.it.

Blair Avatar

I’m pretty bummed about the limited edition DRII packaging being rereleased, as I missed it the first time around and ended up purchasing the black. I haven’t even used the palette yet, so I definitely would have waited had I known it would be back. Ughh.

DVa Avatar

The swatch of that Ultra Glow highlighter is STUNNING, I’d wear that on my eyes.
The Divine Nude matte liquid lipstick look promising, but I feel could pull too brown on me. Have to wait and see more.
While to quad really calls to me, in swatches only two (Pink Mystique and Temptation) do it for me.

April Avatar

Limited Edition. That alone will have collectors swarming. I have Rose II and Decadence. Those are my colors. I don’t use many nude shades. I don’t feel the need to buy the pretty lipsticks, even on sale. Currently I’m using SugarPill’s liquid lip color as it is so pretty with it’s micro sparkle in the matte formula. I love Trinket and Cherish and haven’t tried out my other shades yet. That stuff sets so nicely I find no transfer onto masks if I wear one, as I am most stuck at home.

Ella :) Avatar

I’ve never been a fan of PMGL’s obsession with pink- but (!) that pink/gold duochrome flip highlighter speaks to my soul. It would be a really big investment for me- but if it swatches well, I just might consider picking it up.

Bonnie Avatar

I didn’t purchase Divine Rose II Mothership the first time around. Might pick up the eyeshadow quad and a liquid lip & I also like the mattetrance lip. Hoping to see swatches. The highlighter looks lovely but unsure how much I’d use it.

Dana Avatar

I wanted so very much to jump on the Pat McGrath train, but it just hasn’t worked for me – to both my and my wallet’s eternal pain. I picked up three of the lower end eyeshadows to try them, but they just didn’t work for me. Maybe I am just boring, or don’t have the skills to use them, but most of the shadows just didn’t work for me. I’m a bit old for all the foiled and metallics, and the color schemes weren’t something that I could use regularly in my everyday life. I tried each of them a couple of times, then gave them away.

I also bought 4 glosses and 12 lipsticks in the recent sale (I should’ve got a couple, but no, I had to dive in). Anyways, The glosses were nice, but I am not really a huge gloss lover, so that’s on me, but I didn’t find the lipsticks anything exceptional. The mattes needed a lot of work and fiddling around to look good on me, one of the blitztrances was on the patchy side and required a gloss to perk it up. The Luxtrance was nice but didn’t really stand out, and the balms were…balms. Eh.

And I have been trying for almost two weeks to get a response from customer service, because one item was billed but never came, and another one in the same order came broken. I sound so negative, but I honestly thought I would fall completely in love with them. So as pretty as this collection is, it is a big no for me.

Mandy Avatar

I’m both surprised and disappointed that you haven’t heard back from their customer service. When I had a product missing, they replied back almost instantly. Did you just send a reply back to the order confirmation email? That’s what worked best for me. They also reply quickly to the online messenger service. I wish you luck and I’m sorry you didn’t end up liking the products. My wallet wishes I didn’t. 😊

Dana Avatar

Ha! Thanks Mandy. I was surprised, too. I didn’t think to do the order confirmation email – I just did the customer service emails, with account numbers and all that fun stuff. I might have to go another route. They did mention that it can take 72 hours to respond, but it has been well over that.

Even if I don’t get any response, I guess I saved enough on what I bought to cover paying for one extra. Not the end of the world, right?

Ezgi Avatar

I have been planning to buy the Divine Rose 2 palette and I’m personally very happy that the pink packaging is back… I understand that the Divine Rose collections are iconic and signature products of the brand. Still, I cannot understand why the brand turns around the same colour stories and products while Dame Mother Pat could release incredible complexion products; blushes, highlighters as singles and palettes while keeping Divine Rose…Why not bring Luxetrance back with more shades, for example? Focus on liquid lipsticks with different textures and finished? I really hope she will surprise us with better releases this year.

Ezgi Ozdil Avatar

I was devastated to know that as well… I grabbed a few shades and keep checking as sometimes they might have a few more shades left in stock. Major Red is the most beautiful red I have ever used and I am actually not that into satin lipsticks! I really hope she will bring them without changing (at least without worsening) the formula.

Marla Avatar

It looks like a beautiful collection. I have only recently bought a few products from her and l was very impressed. L really enjoy your blog. It is so very informative and l see how very hard you work and how passionate are.

Amborg Avatar

I always want to buy Pat’s releases but the woman doesn’t ever post the ingredients of her products on her page and I have food allergies so I can’t purchase anything until I see the ingredient lists. She just saved me another $350. I’ve written in several times and expressed the need to list ingredients on their website, but apparently that’s too much hassle for their team and so I’m skipping yet another launch from her brand. The ingredients only surface for PML products sold on Sephora, which come later, and they don’t always get all the products there. It must be nice to have so many customers that you can just ignore customer’s requests because you don’t need their business.

ouineque Avatar

At this point we are all over PMG, but last year I found out pinks and berry’s do look really on me. And I love the quad. Will be on the lookout for the review.
