The just-released Pat McGrath BlitzTrance Lipsticks ($38.00 for 0.13 oz.) arrived just before lunch, and I wanted to get swatches up ASAP as they’re 10% off with code BLITZ10 today (launch day).  There are eight shades but we won’t see Electra arrive until later in November.  They are permanent, and they’ll also launch on Sephora on November 2nd.  The shades Blitz Gold and Electra are exclusive to Pat McGrath’s website.

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Okay, so I need Pat McGrath to slow her roll, as the kids say. I can’t keep shelling out this kind of money but I have precious little resistance. Two of these shades are right in my comfort zone which should be a reason to buy different shades but luckily the two I really like are the only two I would actually wear. I have a few metallic lipsticks and in general, the formula doesn’t bother me although I hate when the pigment wears off and you are left with glitter or micro-shimmer on your lips. I am going to pick up either Rebel Red or Club Kiss today. I am leaning towards Rebel Red. Sometimes I have a hard time determining if a lipstick is completely opaque on your lips because I know where your lip mole is and so I am not sure if I am seeing it through or just know it is there!! I feel like I can see it lightly through several of these shades but I think for Rebel Red I can put up with that!! Thanks for the quick swatches, Christine.

I’m thinking the same – I can’t keep up right now with her releases, they are all so beautiful! I do hope it’ll be a while before they bring out new things, my wallet can’t take it, haha.

At the very least these are permanent, so I can buy the ones I love a few at a time and I won’t be feeling like I have to rush and get them, like I do at the moment with the new limited edition mini palettes 🙁

I love you for informing me that these were permanent, Christine, as I was anxious that they were limited edition and I would have to buy them ASAP before they became out of stock without having seen reviews or proper swatches, just because of my massive FOMO when it comes to Pat’s products!

I never got around to commenting on your post on transparency in reviewing, but I have basically grown up with you as a voice of reason in my makeup journey, and the respect that you garner all over the world in the beauty community is astounding and a strong testament to your ethics and hard work. Cadeau!

there is a shade called “Electra” that is supposed to be released soon, maybe 11/01? It’s copper as opposed to bronze but it’s gorgeous and very different from the ones that are already out. FYI.

I bought club kiss and cyber orchid today and so happy I did! They ar so beautiful ?. I also have my eye on the two nudes that are being sold as a duo. I agree with some of the comments, Pat McGrath needs to slow it down! She is quickly making me broke!!! Lol

Christine thank you for getting these on the site! Do you know if the set includes Electra which is sent separately, or is it sold separately altogether? Looks like the latter.

Oh these are lovely. Nude Romantique and Flesh Fatale, and maybe also Rebel Red, are on my radar. I half hope they review poorly to make the decision for me, and the other half hope they excel.

I ended up getting the palettes bundled with one Mattetrance and one Blitztrance lipstick. So for $175, I got the three e/s palettes and 6 lipsticks (including 3 Blitztrance!). I gotta say PML probably pulled some business directly to her website by offering these bundles.

Kimberly Avatar

That’s incredible! Maybe my math is off but I can’t figure out the 3 palettes and 6 lipsticks (bundles) for only $175 total. I just bought the 3 opulence palettes bundled for $125 with no lipsticks. I might be looking at the wrong place on her site? Thank you.

Kimberly Avatar

Ok, got it. when you stated that you “got the 3 e/s palettes and 3 l/s bundles (6 lipsticks total) for $175” I couldn’t figure out how in the world you did it. Thanks for the clarification!?

Thank you for swatching these! I was very tempted after seeing the packaging, but now I can see that only Flesh Fatale *might* suit me. And that’s too high of a price-tag for a maybe.

Hi I actually received 4 yesterday including Athe Fuchsia and Orchid. On my lips, which are very pigmented, they do look practically the same with the Fuchsia being a little brighter. Also the Nude and the Flesh, with the Flesh being a little darker. They do leave a nice stain behind (with sparkles). For reference my lips are a natural mauvish berry color.
