OCC Lip Tars Review & Swatches, Part 2
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar reviews continue!
- Grandma is a beautiful shade of coral–it really doesn’t seem to lean either orange or pink or red. It’s exactly coral. I’m pretty excited to see what I can do with this color, since I adore coral glosses!
- Melange is a reddish-brown shade. It’s got some warmth to it, and it’s actually very wearable on its lonesome.
- Pageant is a bright fuchsia shade with just a bit of coolness in it. You can definitely wear this alone if you’re all about rocking a hot pink lip.
- Katricia is a rich violet purple. The same glossiness found in the other Lip Tars is also found in this shade as well. You can make this shade more wearable by adding red, hot pink, coral, or even a mixture of a few.
- Uber is a cool-toned brownish shade. It’s quite pigmented, and while I didn’t find it wearable on its own with my skin tone, deeper skin tones may find it suitable by itself.

Grandma is hot! lol. Even though having your own unique DIY shade sounds fun, wouldn’t it be annoying to touch up later? I would hate to carry 2-3 lipglosses!
Well you could carry around a little 5 gram jar, and make the custom lip color in there, and just make sure you put enough for at least 2 applications so you can touch up 😀
and yeah i think grandma is hot too! I think its new, because i don’t think they had that shade when I first found OCC

LOL! I know, I wish it wasn’t named that – it’s just not suitable!
You can mix them in a sample jar – kind of like you make your fave color and make a whole pot of it. This way you don’t have to mix it every day or anything!

has anyone tried putting mac glitter into the clear occ lip tar? to make something like a dazzleglass?
I haven’t yet, but you can generally make dazzleglass by adding it to any clear lipglass (or sheer lipgloss). You can buy MAC Reflects Glitters, and that is VERY much like the glitter in dazzleglass.
is uber like a nude color or what? it doesn’t look very brown to me.
It’s a brownish nude shade.

I’d say to get the primary colors – yellow, red, and blue. The white one for sure (Feathered). You can do a lot of things with those ones 🙂
