OCC Cruising Nail Lacquer
OCC Cruising Nail Lacquer ($8.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as “brassy gold shimmer.” It is supposed to coordinate with Cruising Loose Colour Concentrate. It’s a warmed-up yellow-tinted gold glitter mixed with brassier gold glitter particles. In lower light conditions, it looks warmer, more gold against my skin tone (which has yellow undertones), but under brighter light, it has a brassier look (more like the loose eyeshadow). The color reminded me most of China Glaze Midnight Kiss, except Cruising is the glitter version of it.
OCC’s formula is four-free (it does not include DBP, formaldehyde, toulene, or formaldehyde resin), and it wears a full week on me with minor tip wear (but no chipping). Cruising has a glitter finish, so it will dry down really quickly–which is lovely–but you’ll pay for it later with removal (just as you would with any glittery polish). I find that pressing a soaked piece of felt or cotton against the nail for 15-20 seconds and then repeating on the other shades works well. I press and hold for each finger, and when I’ve done that for all ten, I go back to the first and actually go to pull and remove the polish off the nail. The coverage is noteworthy for two coats of polish, too–nearly opaque.  The consistency of this polish stood out to me; it was a great balance in thickness that allowed for opaque color and even glitter distribution.

I love it! Such a beautiful, intense gold! Want want want 🙂
The glitter jazzes it up nicely!
This is gorgeous.
Gorgeous!!!
Love it! It reminds me a lot of OPI’s Glitzerland.
OMG. I need this. This is beautiful.
Ohh, I love that. This would make a great color for the holidays!
I appreciate how pretty it is, but don’t want it. (Make it pewter, and I’m all over it.)
Hah, when I first checked this site, 24 loved it and 24 left it. As I’m typing this, 26 love it and 26 are leaving it. Seems everyone’s evenly split on this.
I actually like this, but something’s holding me back from hitting the love it button.
OMG!!! Love gold polishes <3 This one is gorgeous!!!
Too yellow for me. :/
Honestly, don’t know what I think about this w/o seeing it in person. The color reminds me of China Glaze’s Midnight Kiss (more so) & 5 Golden Rings, however, it appears a lot chunkier in glitter. As I think your only applied 1 coat, if I’m correct, Christina (as I can see your nail bed), it may be too honky in terms of glitter for my taste with 2 applications. I love the color though; that’s why I bought 5 bottles of Midnight Kiss. :o! For now, I’ll reserve my love/leave it opinion.
i love it! the two-tone gives such a special effect!
Wow, that is absolutely beautiful. Love it!
What do you suggest on how to take off glitter nail polish? I wind up scraping my nails and it’s awful!
I use Zoya Remove+ and just soak it against the nail for 10-15 secs!
I love this. I dont even wear colored nail polish. And 8 bucks is a good price….if they make colors like what the couture brands do, it would be run for the money.
Gorgeous, love it!
A really good dupe is Deborah Lippmann’s Nefertiti, but it is a more expensive dupe! It’s one of my favourite polishes!
That color is gorgeous. It is annoying how glitter polishes are so difficult to remove, but some of them are just so pretty that it’s worth the hassle.
Reminds me of Revlon’s Gold Coin, but this one has bigger glitters.
Best golden nail polish I’ve seen so far! I’d looove to have it.
Definitely my kind of gold – thanks for the review 🙂
