Make Up For Ever #15 Aqua Cream

Make Up For Ever #15 Aqua Cream ($22.00 for 0.21 oz.) is described as a “taupe brown shimmer.” It’s too bronzy to be a true taupe–there’s a darker, chocolately bronze as the base color with a lighter bronze sheen. The sheen is almost taupe-like but not grayed out enough. It’s subtly warm-toned but doesn’t read orange or red. #15 has good color payoff and texture–very soft and smooth. It has a more metallic finish, which translates into smooth application. Bare Escentuals A-Ha is similar to the sheererd out version though a little grayer, while Urban Decay Lost resembles the heavier swatch.

Aqua Creams have a quick dry down, and once they have dried, they stay on all day long for me–no budging, smudging, creasing, or fading. They can be worn alone, as a base, or as eyeliner (and some shades can be worn on cheeks/lips, too; a few aren’t meant for eyes but for cheeks/lips entirely).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Hey Christine!
This is a little off topic, but do you think you could do a video or post on how you swatch product? Whenever I go to the store, I can never seem to swatch anything properly! I always pick up too much product, to little of it, etc.
Thanks!

This or #12 for my first MUFE Aqua Cream! I’ve never had a cream e/s before and these look so beautiful! I have blue eyes, so I think the copper tones in #12 may complement my eyes more. Also, is this close to MAC Bronze or Woodwinked or Indianwood PP? It looks kind of like it. Which one do you think I should get Christine, 12 or 15?

I have a lot of trouble applying these. What type of brush do you use? I can’t use my fingers – my nails are too long. Whenever I try to apply these with a brush though, they look sort of “chunky” on my eyelid!
