Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Unknown Pleasures Collection for Fall 2014

From the innovators behind the cult-favorite liquid lipstick Lip Tar, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics unleashes a range of shades and textures that explores the boundaries between light and shadow. ‘Unknown Pleasures’ is OCC’s Fall/Winter Colour Collection that not only brings together six all-new Lip Tar shades to Sephora, but will be the first to introduce six limited-edition Nail Lacquer shades to participating stores!

The ‘Unknown Pleasures’ collection captures seasonal trend as created by OCC on the runways of New York Fashion Week, with shades that made their original debut at the Fall/Winter 2014 Collections. ‘Unknown Pleasures’ offers a range of colours that promise to tease and tempt the senses, with chic neutrals like ‘Lament’ and ‘Covet’, to ultra-modern vamp shades like the Matte and Metallic duo of deep purples, ‘Pagan’ and ‘Technopagan’. In addition to the six all-new Lip Tar Mattes and Metallics and coordinating Nail Lacquer shades, ‘Unknown Pleasures’ delivers online-exclusive offerings as well: two new Cosmetic Colour Pencil shades!

Actor and musician Deven Green returns to OCC, taking on her darkest roles yet as the two faces of ‘Unknown Pleasures’. The collection will be available online at Sephora.com and OCCMakeup.com beginning 8/5, and available for purchase at participating Sephora stores and at OCC’s flagship boutique on 9/19.

Dark purple matte? Sign me up! Actually, all of these colors look fantastic, I’m really liking that a lot of “non-traditional” lip colors are seeming to be released lately. I would wear any of these.

I have a big lip tar collection and as much as I am so fond of some of the more unique colours, I do not reach for them as often as I would like. The challenge: their drying effect on my lips. I wear these knowing by hour 3 my lips will be parched even with a layer of lip balm underneath. Still, here I am eyeballing pagan, lament, and covet.

I have been wearing my Lip Tars (one drop) with a bit of the waterproofing gel by Anastasia (The Beauty Genius) . Makes them softer on the lips and extends the wear time. Definitely try it out, I will never wear a Lip Tar without it anymore.

Im going to be soooooo broke. Last time bought 5/6 of the lip tars from the Plastic Passion’s collection. This time might be 6/6 and will probably throw in a few nail lacquers :O. Love the colors they force confidence in you even when you’re not feeling it yourself. Cant wait

With the exception of Manhunter, I want them *all*! I think my Lip Tar “wishlist” is at the 40-mark, bit what keeps me from buying any is the massive amount of product in each tube…

After having seen Technopagan on your lips….anticipating the rest, especially Vain. It will be interesting to see how it transfers on the lips not only b/c of the colour but because it doesn’t have the metallic finish that I think makes Technopagan more wearable. 🙂

all these lip color releases lately are amazing!!! first the new kvd lipsticks, then the bite matte crayons, now these!!!! so glad they’re all permanent so there’s no stress deciding which to get first 😀 i’m also loving the name of this collection, as a joy division fan. the last three lip tars are especially amazing..i want unusual colors to be more mainstream so badly.

christine, thanks for always brightening my day with great news like this! 😉

Oh wow this collection is all kinds of gorgeous!!! OCC consistently blows my mind with their everything. The looks on the models are stunning. I rarely wear metallic finish lip colors but Maneater is all kinds of yes please! 😀 That is my kind of color! I am so weak for vibrant lip shades! I am loving the vampy shades too though – so beautiful. Great collection!

Hey Christine!

Thanks for already posting reviews on some of these 🙂
(I’ve followed your website for a while and just thought to sign up now!)

Anyways, I went to order some on Sephora.com this morning, only to find them not there yet 🙁 I called /tweeted them and got the same response: They won’t be available online for Sephora until September 1st! Weird!

They’re already on OCC’s site though, so I got mine. Just wanted to give you a heads up! 🙂

Tried to get Technopagan off Sephora, because I have a gift card. But none of the collection is on there?? I thought it said the 5th. It’s the seventh. I need Technopagan in my life.
