NYX Sparkling Beige Lipstick Review, Photos, Swatches
NYX Sparkling Beige Round Lipstick
All That Glitters is Not Always Gold
NYX Sparkling Beige Diamond Sparkle Lipstick ($4.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a rose-tinged amber brown with lots of copper shimmer and micro-glitter. It is kind of opaque, but it doesn’t apply evenly, so it ends up looking patchy in some places but totally opaque in others. This one was a bummer, because it wasn’t as creamy as NYX lipsticks typically are, and the overall result was less impressive.
my thoughts on the formula: NYX Diamond Sparkle lipsticks are super, super shimmering/glittery (I think the formula’s name should give that away!). Sometimes they’re opaque, but sometimes, in this instance, they aren’t quite. Texture can be a little gritty. However, the scent of them can run from waxy to synthetic sweetness (neither are particularly pleasant)–and sometimes they smell like nothing at all. I typically get two to three hours of wear.

final thoughts: It just depends what your expectations are; I think it can be a fun layering shade for the price tag, but it’s not the same quality as other NYX lipsticks.

I think it actually looks quite good on you Christine! Pretty! 🙂
disappointing lipstick but I like that coppery shade on you, reminds me of revlon’s bamboo bronze
I really don’t have a solid reason for it but this is one of my favorite full face photos of you of all time Christine! You look sooooo beautiful and happy and you are absolutely glowing! Such a beautiful picuture! 🙂
I usually do not like golden copper shimmer
but this lipstick looks soo great on u !!
This reminds me of Heroine. Are the two shades similar in your opinion?
Pretty different!
What a cute, fun color! Too bad about the application problems, I absolutely hate when lip colors are patchy 🙁 Although, for $4, I might be tempted to try to make this work as a layering color…
That shade looks really good on you!
Out of curiosity, what happened to the tip of the lipstick?
That’s how it arrived!
It looks like thrills from to the beach/rushmetal to me 🙂
This is definitely a nice color on you, but I see where you’re experiencing some of the patchiness in the application. Are you able to feel the glitter much during application? That would be a big turn off for me!
Thanks for the informative review!
The color is lovely, specially during the summer with a tan. Still, I think it looks very well on you!
this is gorgeous! i love how if this was mac people would be completely in love, but since its not they bash it.
I wouldn’t bash it, I love the color too but in the face pic I can’t tell it from the bamboo bronze (which I love when I dye my hair red) and that’s not much more price-wise and the color always applies very smoothly.
Interesting color definitely, but too bad it doesn’t apply evenly. :S
My goodness this is gorgeous on you! You are glowing! What do you have on your cheeks?
I don’t remember, I’m so sorry!
That’s a nice color for you!
Is this a new Round Lipstick shade or a Diamond Sparkle shade? I just got a Diamond Sparkle lipstick in Sparkling Nude, and I’m loving the way it’s hugging my lips.
The one I’ve got is more sparkle than pigment, though, so maybe adding color to the sparkle hurts the evenness of the application with the color you have? Haven’t worn it out to test its lasting power, yet, either.
Diamond Sparkle, I believe.
Very nice colour, too bad it’s a pain to apply.
I think this is a nice shade. Or maybe that’s because almost all lipsticks seem to suit you 🙂
I am surprised that so many people chose to hit the “leave” button on this one.
Really great lippie. For me at least.
what blush are you wearing in that picture?
I don’t remember, I’m so sorry! 🙁
It looks like a MAC Glaze like Shag or that LE one called Spiced Tea.
I’m actually shocked that I like this color.
I really love this color! Too bad the formula is hard to apply 🙁 Is there any dupe for it, Christine?
I can’t think of one 🙁
