I am really excited for thebalm and this launch! I managed to score alot of thebalm products when they were selling bundled kits awhile back at Tjmaxx and Marshalls. I ended up falling in love with the brand. They have awesome skin care products, makeup and brushes and I have no doubt that hair care will be just as good. 🙂

I don’t quite know whether I love the idea or hate it! The packaging is cute but they’re a cosmetics brand to me – I don’t have much faith they could do this well.

You know, felt the same about Clinique when they made their foray into hair products. I’m still kicking myself for not anticipating their being discontinued, because I loved them.

I might try the shine product and perhaps the “hair mascara” (I keep meaning to try these things and always forget!) but for shampoo and conditioner, I am pretty well set and with my hair, I have to buy litre sized bottles at the beauty supply. Those tubes look like they might last me for 4 shampoos!

I’m really looking forward to trying the hair mascara. It’ll be nice to use in between my dyes. I just hope these won’t be too drying as the one i have tried from Sally’s dry my hair out. I really do miss Dior’s hair mascaras and really hope these are up to par with them.

Ok please excuse the pettiness of my comment but since this is a beauty blog… I LOVE The Balm, I love the Bay Area shout out in the packaging, but their original art? My inner artist cringes. I loved when they used the open domain vintage pictures, but this feels like a high school poster contest winner is running the art department. I am sorry for being so shallow, but packaging is SO important to me. Of course it doesn’t trump the quality of product but someone like Margarita Bloom appreciates the importance of this for her demographic. Wouldn’t keep me from purchasing but- Eep!

I like the products I’ve tried from theBalm so far, so part of me is excited to try these out. It will be interesting to see how they perform, given that theBalm is primarily a cosmetics company.
