Think I like the first one better .. as there is a purple shade and I don’t think I’d get much use out of the turquoise shape, although I’m sure it’s gorgeous.

Monica.

I’m in complete agreement, looks so similar except that turquoise color. I bought the first one and rarely reached for it, I just didn’t find it all that special once I got it home and tried it out, probably should have returned it. Thankfully I can pass on this one.

I don’t own the original Chocolate Bar, but when I look at each one, this looks so much less versatile. It’s like, more than half brown shades!

Kind of disappointing to me. The first one had warm browns and pinks. This one has so much similar brown shades. Already own all three nakeds already and the first one . Maybe next year they will have something different. :s

Oooooh! Finally a new eye shadow palette that understands me.

I love the original bar is perfect for daytime/office appropriate. The formula smells amazing and the colors are pigmented. I don’t find myself using the purples that often. The duck blue shade in this new palette (Blueberry Swirl) is my jam. I could see keeping this tucked away for touch ups, after work drinks or dinner parties.

That blue colour is gorgeous but I wonder if there is enough of a difference between the two chcolate palettes to justify owning both?

while I love a deeper colors in this palette but I think they’re too similar with the original one but in a darker tone and too many brown colors or that is a concept of products?

I kind of hated the first one, but I would be quite pleased to receive this for Christmas. The colours are more my taste… namely blueberry swirl. Loves me some turquoise.

I NEED IT LOL. I’m new to palettes and the first one I got was the original chooclate palette and it was perfect. Neutral yet a little ‘more’ to still experiment with. I’m so excited for this Semi Sweet version. Just feels like something I would need cause I would definitely make a good use out of it!

Oooh I’ve been waiting for this and just ordered it using my VIB Rouge Reward Card. I LOVE the first one and can’t wait to play with this one.

So GORGEOUS!!! What a shame, though, that I literally CANNOT use anything with saccharin in it around my eyes without experiencing an absolutely terrible allergic reaction! I really wish that Too Faced would release their Chocolate Bar palette in an unsweetened version or with regular sugar instead, because I would definitely re-buy it!

I know a lot of people were thrilled for the first one and maybe even this one, but I’m not feeling this one either. Maybe it’s just me, but excluding Blueberry Swirl, they all just seem like lighter/darker versions of the same color 🙁 I wanna like it but I guess it’s just not for me!

Looks like Too Faced listened about the shade names being on the plastic insert. I saw this on Instagram the other day but wasn’t paying too much attention – thought it was the old palette. Semi-Sweet – that’s too cute!

So excited for swatches. I purchased it this morning when I saw that it was a VIB exclusive, and I still had my $25 VIB Rouge gift card. I never bought the original so I’m hoping you find the quality high with this palette.

Quite excited for this, I love darker neutrals, and this swatches most prettily on dark skin from the swatches I saw on the Sephora Beauty Board! And when I swatched the original Chocolate Bar in store I was a little disappointed that the shades looked so light on me.

Also, these have much more variation when swatched. That’s one thing I’m always hyperaware of about Too Faced shadows especially – the appearance in the pan can be way different than on the skin. I still have to swatch in person, because there still seems to be a lot of too-light shades for me, but still intrigued!!

I really wanted to like this, but there are so many variants of brown that it’s not worth it. I also wish there were more mattes eh.

In response to some people who are disappointed.. its a nudes palette though. If you already have 2 or 3+ nudes palettes already.. obviously you’d be bored of this? What I love about too faced is obviously the quality but also used to hate mattes because they looked so ashy on my darker skin tone. With the original chocolate palette they blended amazingly and looked great on darker skin as well (even the very light colours). So even if this palette is “nothing new for nudes palettes”. Its a solid palette.

I will probably end up getting this just because I have the first one and use it almost every day. I do wish this one was more different from the first. Peanut butter looks to be a beautiful shade but almost identical to salted caramel and mousse looks like a dupe for milk chocolate. I’m hoping that the shimmer shades at least have some unique colors within the shimmer itself.

As a VIB I was able to buy this today and I’m so excited! I personally like the color assortment better than the first one. I also really appreciate that they listened to their customer and put the shade names on the palette 🙂

I said I was “leaving” this because I am truly swamped and overwhelmed with palettes and eyeshadows but, knowing me, the day will come when I break down and get this. Christine, do you know if this is going to be permanent or at least “as permanent” as the original Chocolate Bar palette (which I believe many thought was LE but it’s been around for a goodly long time now). Or is this replacing the original Chocolate Bar palette?

Oh, and I’m pleased to see they’ve printed the names of the shadows right beneath them. That is my major complaint about the original Chocolate Bar palette – you need that flimsy piece of plastic film to find the shades. Loving Blueberry Swirl, Frosting and (big surprise NOT) Rum Raisin.

i have the original chocolate bar with the thicker packaging and the names on the plastic film, so the packaging on this one appeals to me. however, this one (aside from the blue shade) looks very similar to the first one. it looks to me as if there was minimal tweaking and the purple in the orginal was swapped for blue in the new. still pretty though.

On the one hand, like the Naked Palettes I can totally see a place for this: the colours here will be a better mix/shade range for some than the colours in the original, and more options are always good. On the other (more specifically personal) hand, I feel like the world needed another warm neutrals palette like it needed a hole in the head, and that one interesting turquoise shade is not enough to justify a bunch of probably very samey browns. (Pardon the pessimism hat here, but this holiday season has seen a lot of really average neutral palettes, I feel…)

Having said all that, I am genuinely interested to see swatches, and particularly a comparison swatch lineup with the first chocolate bar palette!

Oooo so excited for this. I have the first one and at least one of the colors gets incorporated almost daily in my eye looks. For some reason, the colors in it just work so much better for me than a lot of the other neutral palettes out there. In fact I gave my Urban Decay Naked palette to my sis-in-in law ’cause I just didn’t wear it much.

I bought this today- and call me crazy, but the Chocolate Bar (1) I have is the thick version, and this is the thin version. This is going to bother me haha.

As for the colors, I don’t feel the Chocolate Bar palette is cool toned, maybe neutral/warm. Although I didn’t have a chance to see/play with this in person, I love warm colors, and the quality of Too faced shadows, so I had to buy this palette.

The blue shade is really out there IMO, but I think paired with the neutrals it will really work. I really don’t think I can ever have enough neutrals, and great quality ones at that. Palettes are my weakess- I can justify it by all the money I “save”!

I really enjoy Too Faced as a whole, and this chcolate thing they’ve got going on is GREAT.

Wellllllll I was on the fence about getting the Chocolate Bar but this is perfect for me. 😉 It had warm orange tones I’ve been slightly craving lately.

Butter Pecan I can see myself using every day!

I was able to order this palette today. I’m very excited for it! Too Faced won my heart last year with the Chocolate Bar palette and I have no doubt that this one will live up to the first.

I love the original Chocolate Bar palette — it’s most likely because it’s really the only big neutral palette I own, but I’m constantly reaching for it. This is coming to Mecca stores in Australia in March, so I have a while to wait, but I think reading the reviews and watching videos will be worth it. The swatches on Sephora’s website seem promising, so let’s hope it’s as good as it seems!

I passed on the original chocolate bar because I felt like it was too light for me – my olive tones conflict with some lighter browns and I hate having to really pack on color. This one – man it makes me happy. I saw the swatches on the medium skin on Sephora’s site. It’s going to be mine, all mine as long as the formula holds up.

I love the shades in the first palette, I do, but frankly, so completely feeling the payout just isn’t there. I honestly regret the purchase. This palette frustrates me.

Just what we need…yet another warm neutral palette. I’d love to see more cooler toned options. I have the original and like it, but this will be a pass for me.

Between this, the original Chocolate Bar, and Lorac Pro 1 and 2, not to mention half a dozen quads, I’m really not sure where my gift money will go after Christmas.

oh marketing, you make me laugh. i like how they had to mention ‘anti-onxidant rich’ as a thing, because that’s relevant to eyeshadows, sure. i do really love these colours though.

My bank account is saying absolutely NOT, but my heart is saying yes, yes, oh yeah! I am a sucker for anything teal or turquoise and anything with the name butter pecan has got to be good….ummmm!

What is turning me off about this palette are all the orangey and bronzey shades, which is the reason that I do not like the MAC Gravitas palette. I agree with one of the other members, I wish more of the shades were matte.

I have the Chocolate Palette and I swear its so overhyped.
There are some nice pigmented creamy colors.
Others are powdery and dont show up at all.

Meh, I like the thought of it.

I can easily see myself using this palette. I have and love the first one. It’s become the palette I’ve used the most ever since I bought it.
My dog likes the scent of chocolate eyeshadows, and that must be a major thing to factor in when buying new eyeshadows, right, Right? 😀
