We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when
a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set
expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up
being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!
Thank you so much for compiling all the lipstick deals coming up for this week, Christine. But unless it’s something sheer and MLBB or a dry-down matte liquid that’s in a comfortable formula, I’m probably going to sit this year’s Nat’l Lipstick Day out. First, because I have way too many lipsticks, and secondly, because I religiously wear my mask when I’m out. The one thing I am eyeing, though, is the Revlon Melting Glass Shine lipsticks. Might pick up Toasting Glasses and another lightish shade that wouldn’t look too obvious if it smudged a little bit.
Thanks for the reality check, Nancy! I was definitely not thinking about masks while loading up my cart and glad I saw this post on time. I will most likely still want some lipsticks bc those tend to have a longer shelf life but for items like lip glosses I’ll probably stay away from. I only wear glosses when going out and I won’t want to do that underneath a mask.
I love the idea of a National Lipstick Day – but with all this mask wearing, I don’t think we are going to be able to show our choices.
Thank you for compiling this list of sales on lipstick deals too.

I agree about the masks but I bought from Ulta: : 6 ABH glosses, 2 MAC lipsticks. From MAC site: 1 Lipstick. Waiting to see what Sephora has when it drops.

I am a mask-wearer as well, but that didn’t stop me from hauling a handful from various places. I’m back at work and don’t need to wear a mask in my office, so wearing lipstick is still a go for me!
Super Fun
I’m still so confused by what Bite is doing. They never launched the new lip formulas they kept saying they were going to launch. Every time Christine publishes another post featuring Bite lipsticks, I’m reminded that you can’t even buy them anymore.

Masks are certainly an issue, some might say a political hot potato. Most of us believe they are a/the major way to function if out and about in pandemic times. But remember, you stay home, too, probably more than you used to. At home, either alone or with your ‘safe bunch’ you can totally lipstick it up. If you participate in NLD, wear your new picks with pride or fun. You look pretty good, you care enough about your appearance, you believe Covid will back off enough to be able to wear them out in public, and you will help a segment of the economy. Remember that you wear lipstick for yourself, more than you do for others. If you see something on your WL, need a boost, or have a hole in your stash, go for it, providing it is within budget.
I’ve spent the last day or so perusing the various offers in order to get a discounted lipstick. But what I have found is that here in Aus, quite a few brands/retailers are nominating the free lipstick and needless to say, it is not a shade of my choice. Hmm.
I had a look at CP, but most of their ‘selected’ discounts are on lip glosses etc.
Clinique only offers the nude lipstick…
MAC had a really good deal of getting one (out of a choice of three) lipsticks free, as long as you bought something from the site (reasonable), the problem is that there offerings here are very limited and I had trouble finding anything I would remotely use….
However I am not giving up quite yet…if all else fails, I will pick out a lipstick from my ‘spare’ stash and call it a day.
