Deja Vu? I’m seeing Coloured Raine Safari Raine and several other palettes I own, and yet…why do I want this so much? Ridiculously tempting, but I don’t think it’s a “must” for me. I’m probably going to have this argument going on in my head for quite some time!
I have night terrors about warm mustard and green color stories! I’m vampire pale and in these shades, my romantic undead pallor quickly becomes a ghoulish fright! I’ve seen good reviews so far but will be staying away

I just got this in the mail yesterday, and while a unique color story, I find Acacia and tipu, camu camu and citrine, fushi and ixia, and komorebi and ray too redundant (per paired shadows). Also, valley and flax are different tones, yes, but kinda similar shade(?) as well. Replacing at least one of the mattes with a green/turquoise shimmer reminiscent of her old gold palette would’ve been really cool. I really love the plantasia and elysian shimmers, although I thought elysian was going to be more purple. The quality is there though, so I guess if you like these colors its not a loss. I’m also glad I can move shades around my other natasha palette though! Large appeal for that
I also was thinking about moving the shades, maybe a mix with the ones in the Zendo palette, I think maybe a CP matte of Zendo with a CM matte of the Yucca and the Equilibrium (M) or Yama (DC) with Ray (which is a simple Metallic shadow).
Oh yes I think that would be lovely! It’s really nice to be able to move them around haha
This is quite a Mexican inspired palette and the swatches look good. But these shade colours are not for me, unfortunately. I love the shimmers though.
I can’t help but think this is going to be discounted soon, as this color story isn’t something most people want or need.
I could not figure out why this palette reminded me of ABH Subculture. Thanks, You said one of the reasons. Also Each of those palettes was a departure for the brand. The color stories and textures were challenging for both. I don’t think that Yucca will ever cause the Brouhaha that Subculture did, but I doubt Yucca will be permanent or a bestseller, either. As a younger person, I’d love this, though so many near dupes is disappointing.
Here’s hoping haha! I do see this going the way of that Trichrome palette that came and went. I love that they’re willing to do more niche palettes, but at their price point it’s a risk (a risk I wish Pat McGrath would go back to taking).
I like it, but I think I like the somewhat similar new Nomad palette more. I probably don’t need either one, as I have similar color stories from other brands, I think.
My reaction is much like Genevieve’s. I have an ugly looking mustard-y shadow (ND, UD, Tarte??? I’m not even sure) much like Tipu or Acacia but it strangely works for me in the crease really well but I don’t need another. So many of the shadows in this are orange toned and also quite similar to one another. But, like G, I also like the shimmers – especially Makia, Komorebi and Elysian. I’m hoping I have dupes.
Beautiful products and a really unique color story, I love it all even if I’d never personally use anything from the collection. My one gripe is that it seems to be more in line with colors inspired by agave plants as opposed to Caribbean yucca (the stated inspiration on ND’s website). I was just picking yucca flowers yesterday for cooking, and I don’t see anything resembling them . . . which is a shame, because two or three yucca flower shades could have made this a more versatile palette. A bright neutral cream, a pastel canary yellow, a buttery yellow with soft brown undertones, a pale ‘millennial’ pink, any number of muted browns or earthy creams across varying undertones; two or three of those would have kept the palette on theme while bolstering its overall versatility IMO.
Beautiful to look at in the pan, but I have similar colors and can see the redundancy others mention. Of her palettes, I think I’m more interested in the pastel palette right now. That one is super unique.
An easy pass for me, this palette.
I think Acacia and Tipu look to similar. I count six shades I wouldn’t use and only two shimmery shades I would love, Elysian and Makia.
I do like Willow a lot though, so there’s at least a maybe in this release.
All this said, I don’t mind the colour story. It’s unusual, I think and that is always a positive thing in my book.
My brain tells me I want this because I am such a sucker for sparkly taupes and grungy greens, but between my SG collection, and Natasha’s own mini gold, metropolis, and (surprisingly) retro glam (for the sparkly taupes) I’m pretty sure I have my favorite shades from this palette duped several times over. But it’s so pretty!
I have brown eyes with warm orange red undertones, this pallette wasn’t interesting me until now. I love green eyeshadow. I wish people here would not use words like ugly to describe colors. There’s something for everyone! Don’t yuck my yummmm.
I am thinking about picking it up, but sad Sephora Canada is not carrying it and dropping ND as a brand. Beautylish lists the price 10$ CAD higher.
Do Acacia and Tipu look as close on the eyes as they do in your skin swatches?

Camu Camu, nothing else. However, as much as I’ve like and supported her brand in the past, money wise and the fact that the colors more and more never go on as you see them, has me less inclined desire. Also, the palette just seems like a mix of colors from Safari, Gold and one or from Glam. Again, maybe it’s just me.
