Natasha Denona Fair (01) Super Glow Highlighter Review & Swatches
Fair (01)
Natasha Denona Fair (01) Super Glow Highlighter ($38.00 for 0.35 oz.) is a soft, peachy beige with warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It seemed almost sparkling but did not have noticeable sparkle or glitter particles in it. I thought it was a little less shiny compared to the other two shades released in the formula, though it didn’t emphasize my skin’s natural texture and was still highly reflective and yielded an over-the-top glow. The highlighter had rich color coverage paired with a smooth, lightly creamy texture that was more powder than cream but had some of the ease of cream with the blendability and coverage of powder. It wore well for eight and a half hours on me before it started to fade noticeably.

Formula Overview
$38.00/0.35 oz. - $108.57 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be a "super-soft powder" that "mimics skin's natural texture for a slick, seamless finish that won't settle in fine lines" while creating a "multidimensional glow" and "glass-like sheen." The powder has a denser consistency with slight slip and creaminess, but it definitely feels like a powder.
The three shades available had semi-opaque to opaque coverage in a single layer with a strong, metallic sheen and a lot of shine--more reflective and shiny than shimmer in texture, but it was a mega-watt kind of glow. It worked well with standard, tapered highlighting brushes without having to use a light or heavy hand with it. The highlighters applied evenly, blended out easily, and lasted for eight to nine hours on me.

I’m not fair, and I don’t care! I just love this one anyway. I mean, hey, I’m the NC37 who just bought Ofra Glazed Donut!
Nancy, I have the Ofra x Nikkietutorials tri-color Ultra Glow Highlighter with Glazed Donut in it and I use it all the time. I’m pretty tan right now so I usually just pop it on the very center of the highest points of my cheekbone on top of a highlighter that is closer to my skin tone right now. I also bought this one and I’m not fair either!!
Dominique, I’m glad to see that I’m not the only one who loves using Glazed Donut even though not fair! I believe that the secret to why it works on us is that it lacks a white, powdery looking base. It still allows my skin color to show through without looking strange!
Very lovely.
I wanted this SO BAD til I saw the ingredients. It’s mostly castor oil which is dirt cheap filler.
Thanks for photographing the ingredients list on the package. I usually read your review about the product as well as do a separate search to find where the product is made in before I buy. Now I can see it all in one place!
Is this the same shade that is in the Mini Blush & Glow palette?
Hey Shannon,
I don’t think I have that! Per ND, that is the “All Over Glow Face & Body Shimmer” so I don’t think it would be the same.
Very pretty! This would be lovely on fair skin.
I purchased this and the Light Medium and they are both beautiful and very smooth. I really like this formula.
Awesome to hear it!
I can’t decide between the fair and light medium shades. Are they too similar to own both?
I don’t think you need both!
Please Christine can you tell me if this is the same formula as Nars Fort de france highlighter? Im hunting a new wet look, no-really no- shimmer highlighter that melts with my skin (fair/light) that only shows when im moving my head and the light hits it… Please help, which one choose…
I would try NARS over this – this is intense enough that while I think it is very shiny, it’s not shimmer-free. NARS is not really shimmer-free either. They are not the same formula.
