NARS Hyde Park Satin Lip Pencil Review, Photos, Swatches

NARS Hyde Park Satin Lip Pencil ($25.00 for 0.07 oz.) is described as “cardinal red.” It’s a deeper red with mostly neutral undertones–it looks a bit berry-ish–and a satin finish. MAC Fire Sign is warmer. Guerlain Pour Troubler is cooler-toned, more berry-hued. Shiseido Sweet Pea is warmer. NARS Flamenco is more muted. Dior Technicolor Red is similar but has shimmer.

While many shades in the range are screaming with pigment, this one was actually a bit translucent; there’s a hinto f my lip freckle that still comes through. Hyde Park looked a bit like a lip stain/lipstick hybrid. It lasted four and a half hours well on me, and then a noticeable stain lingered for the next hour or so. The color did settle into lip lines somewhat after four hours of wear. It was neither hydrating nor moisturizing while I wore it.

I can’t believe *none* of these are doing it for me… Every one has been too pink, yellow, or orange. I’m finally at the point where I want to try NARS lip products, so I was so excited for these, but none will work for me. At least there are a few of the regular lipsticks I want to try.

I didn’t think I’d like this but I really really do. I have Sweet Pea, though, and i want to get Pour Troubler, so I don’t know as I *need* this.

cute color but it’s not worth it: too little of it(-waste, tho that has a hygienic advantage, not moisturizing and not that long-lasting.(it would surely be gone way quicker from my lips than yours, it’s cool that you can keep l/s on for so long πŸ˜€ i drink a lot of water and that ruins it all the time-or if not, the lip product becomes dry on me)
