Those blush palettes look amazing!
Wow that set looks so much nicer than the heart NY set. I am totally loving this and putting it on my to buy list!
Wow! I wish he would just release the eyeshadows in the LA set as a quad. Would buy that in a heartbeat!!
By “specialty stores,” does that include Sephora? Adult Content is calling my name
Yep, I do believe so! 🙂
I’m already planning to buy Outremer as a single, and have been going back & forth with Etrusque. How does Etrusque compare to the gold in the Exotic Dance duo? If they’re different enough, this may be the better way to go. TIA
Etrusque is a deeper, more molten, orange-y gold. Exotic Dance is browner, less warm/orange/yellow.
Thanks! I’m wrapping up my NARS “must-haves” list, and Etrusque was pencilled in, but I think I can skip it. I don’t have many golds in my stash, so I took a chance with Exotic Dance, which turned out to be a great choice.
BTW, if anyone is interested only in Etrusque, it is still available on NARS.com.
Etrusque is probably my favorite NARS eyeshadow, LOL! But that’s a personal preference based on how flattering it is! 🙂
My favorite eyeshadow, among all brands, is Ondine. I know alot of people either hate it, or are just indifferent, but it is HG for me, LOL.
I vaguely remember seeing Etrusque in-store, and swatching it, but I’m sure I passed for a reason. I do remember it was really soft & pigmented, thought!
Ondine is a weird grayish, mauve, purple kind of shade? Isn’t it? Off to go Google, but that is what I’m remembering. With a little sparkle?
XAMYX – I love Ondine, too! High five!
Christine – You are absolutely correct! But it works really well with my undertone..
Definitely going to get one of those blush palettes! Nars is killing me this year…
i am soo excited!!! i dont like the addition of Outremer.. but these are gonna put a dent in my sep savings…!!!!
I am totally going to have to get adult content. It looks like it is right up my alley. It also doesn’t have Orgasm or Laguna, whoo!
Oh boy, these look lovely! I am starting to look forward to fall more and more :-O
Very pretty, but it does nothing for deeper skin tones. Easy pass.
Hi Audrey! Actually, I have put Gilda, Orgasm, Outlaw, and Albatross on medium to very deep skin tones and they look beautiful! Albatross is actually one of my top preferred highlighters for deep skin tones. Outlaw is a new shade and has a lot of pigment, it’s gorgeous on deep skin for a more noticeable blush, or more natural depending on your preference and how much you use. Gilda gives a beautiful soft flush, and Orgasm looks stunning on deep skin, even though it looks light in the pan. It turns into such a flattering golden peachy glow. It’s hard to find a blush palette for deeper skin tones, and I think you might have a lot of luck with it. Give it a try! Just thought you might like to know. Cheers!
(p.s. I worked at Sephora for 3 years and now run a freelance makeup artistry business, in case you were curious).
Wow love the blush palettes. Seriously coveting Killing Me Softly.
They paired my FAVORITE blush/bronzer with some gorgeous neutrals? Not to mention I’m a LA native, I think this set is going on the must have list!
Adult Content looks awesome, but I just bought the Desire blush/bronzer duo..So not sure if it would still be worth it… Nice change not seeing Orgasm there though
Christine, in your experience, do NARS’s blushes in these types of palettes match the quality of the ones sold as singles? I am definitely interested in these, but if the quality is not up to par I’d rather invest in the individual blushes. Thank you for your time! 🙂
Is the LA set not going to be available at the Nars flagship store on Melrose? Weird
So I’ve decided I need to buy this, I’ve been wanting to buy turkish delight, etrusque, and deep throat for a while…so this is perfect!! 😀
I wonder how Killing me Softly would look on my NC44 skin but a 4-blush palette with those amazing shades sure tempts me!
For how long will it stay? Is it possible to snatch the palette for Christmas?
Christine, will you be reviewing these palettes? I hope so, thanks!
I wish they would stop putting ORGASM in EVERY SINGLE BLUSH PALETTE! I already have it and I’m pretty sure a lot of other people do too.
I want the Killing Me Softly palette because I only own 1 out of the 4 but I’m not sure if I should stop buying blush. I have 7 NARS blushes and I feel really guilty purchasing what I cannot use. Oh the struggle of being a girl 😀
Christine, in your experience, do NARS blushes in these types of palettes match the quality of the ones sold as individuals? I am really interested in these, but if the quality is not the same I’d rather invest in the individual blushes. Thank you for your time! 🙂
Honestly, it just depends on the palette!
Sizes of the blush palettes? Sometimes they’re so small but expensive.
