Nars Gaiety represents that spectrum of blush colours I find very challenging for my skintones. Perhaps it is the lavenderish undertones against my neutral green yellow skin. Anyhow, shift it slightly, say into Nars Desire territory, and I get something that works very well. This list is a good ‘steer clear’ for me 😀
I echo your feelings for myself! I never like the way really, really cool-toned lavender-y things look on me. Some brightness, it can work.

I so wish I could pull off Gaiety! The color is so beautiful but it’s way too light for me
Funny – I prefer all the dupes over the original – they look less “murky”.

I don’t mind purple in my blushes (although i don’t own any yet, sadly), but Gaiety has that whitish undertone that seems to defeat the purpose of blush a bit for this vampire 😉 it’s not like I need anything to make me look ‘brighter’ in direct sunlight, after all 😉
Independently of my own preferences, however, i like the vibrancy of these colours!
