NARS Deep Throat Blush, Dolce Vita Blush, & Orgasm Lip Gloss Reviews and Swatches

NARS Deep Throat Blush

During Sephora’s Friends & Family Sale last November, I picked up two NARS blushes and Orgasm Lip Gloss. I opted for Deep Throat, even though I’ve owned it before, because I wanted to give it another shot. People say for those who don’t LOVE NARS Orgasm Blush to give Deep Throat a try instead. I don’t have Orgasm blush, but I do have Super Orgasm blush, which does work really well for me. I don’t find it too glittery at all! Dolce Vita caught my eye mostly for its name (some are suckers for packaging, I’m a sucker for product names, sigh!). I also bought Orgasm Lip Gloss, because so many of you recommended it to me–especially because it was similar to Cle de Peau’s #2 Lip Gloss.

Can you believe I’ve only worn Deep Throat blush once? And Dolce Vita has gotten a lil’ more love with two or three uses. They’re in my blush containers, which I so rarely access with all of the newer cheek products that come out lately (MAC, I’m looking at you!). Deep Throat is a darker, deeper pink with peachy-gold shimmer (and it isn’t the chunky shimmer like Super Orgasm, for those wondering). Dolce Vita looks surprisingly good on my skin tone; I was quite worried it would be too pigmented and more muddy than pretty on my cheeks. It would make a nice everyday blush for me, actually. It doesn’t have any shimmer (that I could tell), which is a bonus for those who are hunting for shimmer-free cheek colors!

Orgasm Lip Gloss is not quite a dupe for Cle de Peau’s #2 Lip Gloss, which is not to say that it isn’t a pretty color, though! I find the luxe lip gloss to be much more shimmery and golden-toned with just a slight pink-peach base, whereas Orgasm Lip Gloss has a darker gloss base and less noticeable shimmer. They’re both fantastic glosses, and Orgasm Lip Gloss is a nice way to get close to Cle de Peau for half the price.

IMHO Orgasm has earned it’s cult status. If you want to switch it up a little, try the Nars Multiple in Orgasm. I’ve had so much fun with it. It is great on the lids, cheeks and lips (put down balm first).

I haven’t tried Dolce Vita but I love DT, O, and Super O!

My problem is that Orgasm and Super Orgasm show up completely sheer on my face. My cheeks already have a heavy pretty natural blush. So now I’m just super skeptical about all Nars blushes.

I love Deep Throat. I used to use it as my everyday blush but I’ve been neglecting it lately. I need to start wearing again. Dolce Vita looks very dark in the pan. Christine, do you think it’ll work on a cool toned complexion? I’m an NW30

I can’t get Orgasm to show up on me! I don’t like glitter on my face so Super Orgasm will not be for me.

I LOVELOVELOVELOVEEEEEEEE Dolce Vita. I agree, their names are to die for! Dole Vita just sounds so.. pretty =) The color is gorgeous too, I wear it almost everyday. Yes, it’s really easy to go overboard on the color but I love how it’s pretty matte.

I have Super O and it really doesn’t show up on my but I love the large chunky glitter…So I am excited to buy the deep throat. Thanks Christine! Love the blog! It’s my first time commenting!

i have both orgasm & deep throat and honestly since i bought DT orgasm rarely ever sees the light of day. I’ve used it once. Seriously. I don’t have DV, mainly cause dark blush colors scare me. I bought sin and don’t use it. But i think i might have to try DV out,it looks gorgeous in your swatches. Doesn’t show up overly dark or anything…

I have both Deep Throat and Orgasm. I use them both but I think I prefer the Orgasm blush more since it’s more subtle on me. Deep throat I have to be careful and not use a lot since a little goes a long way with me and my super pasty white skin!

I absolutely love Dolce Vita. I know Orgasm has quite a bit of a reputation but I prefer more intense blushes and Orgasm is a little too peachy natural for me I guess.

I’m NC 25-NC30 and I wanted to try Dolce Vita. Would that be too dark for me? I already have Orgasm and I love the color I’m just looking for a more matte blush. Should I try Amour instead?
