I saw this right after you posted and I’m still so excited I can’t even be coherent. The Audacious line ? My absolute hands down favorites! Come on Nars….Bring.Them.On! ?

YES!!!!! And it’s being done in a way that is respectful – not cartoonish. This is a strong, proud, all around awesome look for a campaign. I’m so in love with it.

One of the lipsticks looks like a dupe for one of my favorite Bite lipsticks that was discontinued! I love all the styling for this campaign.

Wow – shades of Angela Davis (at first, I actually thought it was a doctored photo of her!). As much as I personally dislike Radiant Creamy Concealer, it’s good that they’re extending the colour range at both ends of the spectrum, it seems. Some of the lipsticks look nice but I don’t find they’re worth the price – $39 here in Canada.

Oh, oh, Katherine. Mahogany Audacious. Watch out. And Donna, Deborah in Audacious is quite brown, not even a particularly red brown. Check it out. T has a swatch with dupes. Kimberly: it’d be too Effin funny, if it weren’t so Effin true. Au revoir, argent! As to the Angela flashback, Mariella, it’s the big glasses as well as the ‘fro. Angela’s skin never looked THAT good. The model is perfection. I think my reply changed locations. Sorry. Oh, well.

I love Audacious Lipsticks!!!These and the Dual-Intensity eyeshadows are my 2 all time favorite NARS products.I wonder if the Brow Defining Cream will be any good.El Djouf the light brown will be the one I try out.

Love the look of this collection. The styling is superb and I love how confident in herself the model looks. I hate ads – especially the ones aimed at female costumers – that make women look insecure, weak or indecisive. That’s never going to convince me to spend my hard earned money.

I keep telling myself I have enough red lipsticks, but is such a thing really possible?

This model is STUNNING. Seriously, the afro…everything. The black panther on her jacket though? We live in racially divisive times and I’m not sure that’s helpful. It’s kind of off-putting to me, and I love people of color and am supportive of efforts move us towards racial equality, but the tactics of some are unwise, IMO. I realize I’m probably in the minority with this opinion.

Tiffanie Avatar

Yes you are. I say just appreciate the photo for the beauty. It’s obviously a nod to the 70s when the Black Power Movement and the Black Panthers were prevalent.

Uh oh, Kate lipstick is calling my name. It’s described as a “purple orchid”, and purple is my fave color for lippies, and orchid is my fave flower.

I wonder how Kate compares to Angela and Anna, or if it’s less pink and more purple…I can’t wait!!! And I love the model’s look. Gorgeous, strong, embracing who she is. love love love!
