The formula is supposed to have "buildable coverage from sheer to medium" with a "gliding balmy application" that keeps lips soft. It has a stiffer, balm-like feel; and I say stiff without being a negative, just that while there's a lightly emollient, moderately shiny finish that one might associate with a lip balm, it had more substance to it and adhered well to lips without feeling like the product melted instantly on the lips.

The coverage ranged from sheer to semi-sheer and was buildable to medium coverage, as marketed, which was nice to see. Despite the sheerness and the shinier finish, most shades applied evenly without settling into lip lines and were fairly forgiving of lip texture/imperfections. The formula was moderately hydrating, comfortable to wear, and most shades lasted three to four hours on me.
