NABLA Cosmetics Cutie Palettes | Swatches (Summer 2020)
For summer, there are three new NABLA Cosmetics Cutie Palettes ($24.00), which are six-pan eyeshadow and pressed pigment palettes. I have all three palettes swatched for you in this post!
As a heads up, a few shades (Gem System, Luxuriance, Dissolution) in the palettes contain plastic (PET) glitter and a few shades (Lord, Nothing Personal, Venom, Blackberry, Botanic Juice) are pressed pigments (those are labeled “face”).
Thanks for swatching these so quickly. Platinum and Wild Berry looked great, I picked those up right away. However now after seeing your swatches of Metropolitan, I think I might have to grab that one at some point as well. I wish they would not put PET glitter in these. I tried out Gem System without reading the back carefully, I’ll just have to be careful when removing it. It looks great on the eye, that’s for sure!
Disappointed that they put PET glitter in several of the shades. However, I noticed that the glitter is far finer in texture then most of those similar types of shadows. In other words, I wouldn’t be afraid to use them over a sticky base. I will wait on your thoughts about that when it comes to the Platinum palette, though.
As pressed glitter shades go, the ones in these palettes seem to have a bit more colour binding them which is a good thing. Overall, I am not wowed by the shades so this will be a pass for me. I have to be a little careful as I have placed 3 orders to Sephora during the sale so I have to go back on a low/no buy for the time being. I think some of it was retail therapy driven as I am staying home.
The shade incense in the 3rd palette looks dehydrated.
Platinum would have to be my favourite of all the three – although I am disappointed that the brand chose to put in PET glitter in some of the shades in these offerings.
Berry is my favourite of the bunch! I am also still interested in the Nude version, with those strange ‘latex matte’ shades.
I ordered these. I’ve been dying to try the Nabla Cutie’s palettes, and Angelic Nyquist’s videos gave me the last little push.
So disappointing as I love the colours in these palettes – but with so many pressed pigments and ones containing glitter this is an easy pass for me. I have had terrible reactions to pressed pigments and not going to subject my eyes to any more trauma
