Moira Howdy, Haute, About Time, Good Thing Diamond Daze Shadows Reviews & Swatches
Howdy
Moira Howdy Diamond Daze Liquid Shadow ($8.50 for 0.1 oz.) is a light-medium peach with slightly warmer-leaning undertones with flecks of pink, greenish-gold, and gold sparkle throughout a more metallic finish. The base seemed more transparent, which resulted in sheerer coverage.
- Sheer coverage
- Thin, more fluid consistency; slightly watery
- Harder to apply, best with a brush as it got gummy with fingertips
- Once set, no creasing/fallout for 10 hours

Formula Overview
$8.50/0.1 oz. - $85.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "no fallout" and will not crease while "glid[ing] on effortlessly." There did not seem to be a specific callout with respect to opacity, and the actual opacity ranged from sheer to more opaque with most being semi-sheer. The brand's promotional swatches/demo images showed the shades as fully opaque in coverage, though.
The consistency was very watery initially; thin, fluid, and on the more watery side so that it was hard to apply the product evenly. I tried to use my fingertips but found that my fingertips seemed to absorb the formula and caused it to dry down faster, which turned it into a gummy consistency--this was even harder to manipulate and even out! I would recommend a larger, flat synthetic brush or the included doe-foot applicator.
I found the formula to be particularly difficult and inconsistent to work with, and I think it would be best for someone who would use the shades as a sheer wash of color and is not particularly concerned for a 100% perfect evenness or layered over another eyeshadow. They have some tremendous sparkle and shine, so I can see some people loving them for real-life use.
Once on, they were crease- and fade-resistant and did not have fallout for 10 hours, as they did fully dry down, but they easily removed with water.
Note: some shades contain plastic (PET) glitter.

I have to admit that I don’t get this. The shades are not that different so how do you get F’s on two shades and B’s on the others? I remember others that were reviewed likewise got D’s and F’s. Pretty sad release.
Good Thing is really GOOD! Although I am not inclined to purchase (or use) many a liquid eyeshadow, this one has me wanting it. It looks like molten copper!
I love the shade colours of It’s About Time and Good Thing, but I wouldn’t buy these products as they are – far too difficult to apply and get right. The rest of the liquid shadows are a disappointment.
Moira could release the most beautiful color that ever existed as one of these and I would still be leery of the gummy formula!
